Throwing it in closed rp threads (or even open ones, idk) and mucking up people's stories aren't what I personally meant by "no rp outside of the rp subforum." Its posts go in the rp section since it's a rp, but its posts don't go in rp threads where it's not welcome. I do not think that Seebs is about to let it cause havoc like that; Jesse would not be thrilled if it messed up boat trolls. X3
Oh gosh I hope not. I mean I’m pretty sure it’s technically possible, but given what a big deal new mod elections tend to be, I’m not sure a lack of power to go with the title would be enough to offset that if it actually were a thing.

I posit that making the bot a mod without having a head-to-head election against the toaster is, like, completely rude

We could make them both mods. Having only a single joke robot account on staff feels like tokenism. I don't want to be accused of tokenism.
I also don't appreciate the implication that just because an RP is open means the members deserve being subject to spam :)
We could do a runoff vote. At this point 30 votes wanted mod and 34 wanted some version of a quieter robot (the seven votes for ‘dead robot’ not counted) but disagreed as to what kind of quieter robot. Run the quiz again with the 2 or 3 most popular options instead of splitting the votes of the ‘less robot’ posts and you may get a more useful response.
okay i've realized a fundamental problem with the poll which is that i didn't use the best polling system, which is a pure yes/no preference vote with the option of voting yes on everything. so i've changed this to such a poll and reset the votes. please vote for every option you think is good, not just your favorite. this has been proven with mathematics to be pretty much the best choice in voting systems.
