lol it turns out i slept most of today BUT I'M UP FOR REAL THIS TIME it turns out two cookies for breakfast is a bad idea, who'd have thought.

also i just realized while making a sandwich, galley and erskin absolutely have a dread pirate roberts thing going on. 'goodnight wesley, sleep well, i'll kill you in the morning.' *six years pass*

 

galley does not do the pornography thing with erskin. galley is doing a demented hoppy courtship dance at bel. galley does not know why saying bel's first name gave him a boner but various other flirtation methods have not produced the desired results but he's pretty determined to figure it out. it's not fair that bel jerked off about him where he couldn't watch. >>:T

 

Well, Galley's definitely going to keep experimenting till he finds out what works, then entirely refuse to self-examine why this was so important. I'm pretty sure 'watching hunky dudes jerk it is fun' and 'dicking around with your superior officers feels great'— he is probably going to implode when it gets legitimately feelings-y.

Maybe when Bel takes his leave of Erskin, Galley can go 'good boy', and then be like OOOH, A HIT.

Also does Bel have any porn, has he watched/read any aboard, because Galley would definitely be examining that.

 

cheesy space yaoi plot points i want to hit

-bel gets wasted (somehow) and sleeps it off in galley's helmsblock. soppy poetry is probably involved.
-new ship drags in gross space plague, everyone is sick and cranky
-arguus gets lost, erskin is wildly frantic to find him, nearly tears bel's head off about it
-erskin gets a gross seadweller parasite, bel has to deal with him being even more scatterbrained and incomprehensible than usual
-bel and erskin get stuck in a closet somewhere, erskin quietly loses his shit
-bel gets stuck somewhere he has to hear erskin having enthusiastic sex with someone
-galley gets sick, erskin spends several days fussing over him, bel doesn't know who he's jealous of
-someone roofies bel at one of the new party hives, erskin protects him while he's out of it
-erskin is prepared to make nice with someone he does not actually like, bel takes the hit.
-erskin sees bel being tender and fussy over twitch, walks into a wall

 

what if there's a big party after glasswind's sent off, everyone drags out the recreational pharmaceuticals and has a big rowdy picnic, and bel finds erskin handsomely lounging around with lainey and gets dragged into doing shots— then erskin and lainey drop a very wobbly bel off in galley's block on the way home just to be dicks to both of them.

Also with Erskin rubbing his face a lot, even in front of other trolls, and covering his horns when he's especially freaked— I was thinking it'd be a common marker of undersocialization and/or just overwhelming, long-term, unmitigated stress. It'd be perceived not as a little concentration tic like hair-chewing or nail-biting but something as unhinged as frantic pacing or throwing things against the wall.

 

I just really enjoy playing around with the way different romantic drives would affect their body language and unconscious gestures I guess! And being vulnerable around one another seems like a big fuckin deal for alternians.

Also I think it would be funny if humans and trolls gave each other the wrong signals when it came to flushed attraction— humans tend to touch/groom/play with their hair when they're feeling flirty, but I feel like trolls would interpret this as a pale come-on. Some poor troll at a human bar is sitting there like 'wait I thought everything was going well, she was letting me see her boobs, then suddenly she gets out a mirror and starts adjusting her cosmetics and asking if I think her hair looks ok aw man ))):'
