There seems to be an awful lot of Rage players in Troll Call so far. I've counted five out of twenty, lemme go count them again.
Hussie's really into symmetry; we have equal numbers of boys and girls in Homestuck. Does that mean we're going to get one more NB troll along with Charun? It would kind of give away their assigned sex if there wasn't one.
I mean I think there's probably more than two NB trolls. Like half the troll call trolls don't have any pronouns in their blurbs. And also I always figured that trolls didn't really have assigned gender the way humans do, and while there's cultural stereotypes around gender each troll is basically free to pick whatever suits them best.
I'm just thinking there has to be an even number of them to be fair. And I gotta say, even on the assumption that trolls have anatomical sex differences (which it's hinted they do) "assigned" gender would be kind of shaky when you start out life as a blobby little grub and then are raised by a nonverbal animal which if it's an Alternian mammal is hermaphroditic. Spoiler: related to the leak Can anyone make out what Lanque and Groupie's sigils are?
@chaoticArbiter I thought of a ship; Polypa and Spoiler the Duelist from the leaked cards? So far we have a lot more Prospit girls than any other group. Hope that balances out.

Ain't that the truth. I saw someone on Tumblr saying they couldn't get into the Troll Call because they didn't want to get attached to a character and have them turn out to be awful again, as happened with Dammek; I can't restrain myself from still shipping the Troll Call. Oh my gosh, a Grubbles song covered in English and it's awesome!
since when is 'the character i'm attached to is awful' a problem for homestuck fans. this is the appeal of like half the cast. plus at this point shipping is going to be pretty much exclusively on aesthetic grounds, right? (also hey maybe you should spoil out names/titles from unrevealed trolls?)
How much of a story is it if some of the characters aren't awful so they can either be antagonists or have arcs where they get over being awful? Now, if they don't get over being awful and we're not supposed to see them as an antagonist *coughretconvriskacough* that's a different matter.
Someone else is theorising that the Troll Call are all going to appear in one scene and be instantly wiped out a la Nektan and Mierfa. I'm drawing the faces of the new trolls to stick on Ministrife sprites, will adjust the sprite bodies to fit later.
I kinda doubt that the whole Troll Call is going to be wiped out in one scene. The scale of effort required to create this many unique characters is very different now that we're looking at a computer game, rather than a webcomic, and I think they're trying to get the game segments out as quickly as they can to make up for the time lost having to learn how to make a game from scratch. They don't have the time to create over two dozen unique character models, with interesting backstories, only to just kill them all off in one go. (I'm pretty sure that some of them are going to die, sure. But that's just part of how the setting tends to work. And maybe all of them will die. But not in one fell swoop.)
