Aww, I think the dog forme's cute! It's a pity it's probably going to be too weak to be a viable party option permanently at that stage. I agree with you about the perfect forme, it looks too... mecha... for my liking. And Pokemon Go, oh my god, never have I been so excited at the prospect of spending shitloads of money on things I wouldn't otherwise care about (smartphones, travelling). But Pokemon in the real world (albeit digitally)!

I'm excited for both of those sort of, but since I don't have a smart phone and we have no idea when we'll be getting Zygarde's new formes, what I'm REALLY excited about is a Super Mystery Dungeon! So excited for that and it comes out here mid November, I can't wait <3 I already have my team picked out lol

I'm so excited for pokemon go, mostly because I'm fortunate enough to live within range of a volcano and thus, the usual habitat of my favorite pokemon. :> I just made a post on my tumblr yesterday that was basically I'M GONNA GO CLIMB RAINIER FOR LARVESTA

Also @Witch of Empty viable competitively or in game? Because I went through the entirety of Black with a joltik and an oshawott on my team lol, I'm sure the dog form would be at least stronger than either of them were.

I'm trying so, so hard not to get too hyped for pokemon go in case it turns out to be a terrible generic mobile game but.... @_@; There's basically a 0% chance I won't be playing the hell out of regardless so I don't know why I'm even trying. I'm a sucker.

Either, though I'm sure others will be able to make it work. I don't really like playing with legendaries on my team as it is, I prefer to have a team of strong favourites.

Ugh, I'm probably going to have to get a new phone if I want to play Pokemon Go. :(

Also, if you have not listened to this Pokemon Go-related audio post you really owe it to yourself to do so RIGHT NOW.

I'm loving all the Pokemon Go posts, but that was absolutely the best one. Hey, even if the game bombs, we've still been blessed with an avalanche of funny tumblr posts!

And I laughed at the "Mr. Mime standing in the corner of your room staring at you" post but the truth is, someday I'm going to turn around and there's going to be a Lickitung standing right behind me wanting to see if I has a flavor and that unnerves me.

Pardon the thread necromancy but it is for a note to self an important public service: it's February! US peeps, do not forget to go to Gamestop and get your Mew code. Canadese peeps, do not forget to go to EB Games and get your Mew code.

For those of you who are burnt out on the newer games or just kinda bored of the same-y predictable plots, I've been finding a number of fan-games that are absolutely fantastic. They're far more difficult than the canon games, and take more risks in the story department.

Pokemon Reborn is my favorite thus far: You play in the Reborn Region, a once lush and diverse region home to the metropolis of Reborn City--a city so large that it puts even Castellia and Lumiose to shame. The city used to be a gem of the world, but in recent years has fallen into decay as pollution and overpopulation run rampant. As a new trainer (the usual male and female player characters are also joined by NB options), your quest to take on the Reborn League gets quickly sidetracked by the mysterious Team Meteor. And I mean mysterious. Where the story is now, we've got a growing sense of what their goals are, but they're constantly two steps ahead of the player and their allies. The story occasionally slips into Narm and grimdark, but mostly it's so good and compelling that I find it easy to overlook the bits where it falls short.

Pokemon Rejuvenation is a game made in the same style as Reborn: You and your mother are headed for a new life in the Aevium Region when your ship is attacked, your mother is kidnapped and you barely make it out with the help of one of Aevium's League members. Alone and tramatized, you're given your first pokemon and encouraged to challenge the Aevium League while you wait for your mother to show up. Like in Reborn, your challenge is quickly sidetracked by the emergence of Team Xen, who seem to know an awful lot about your mother. This game features Shadow Pokemon, NB character options, and two conflicting prophecies about how the future will go. Would be as good as Reborn if not for some balance issues. Reborn could be very difficult, but always made sure you had tools to overcome the challenges. Rejuv is a little shakier on that front.

Last is Pokemon Insurgence: Not as dark or character driven as Reborn or Rejuv, but still interesting. The player lives in the Torren Region, which is plagued not by a single team but by numerous cults which worship and seek to summon a legendary pokemon. The game starts with your memory being sapped away by Gengar, only for it to be chased off by Mew, who seems to take a certain interest in you. With Mew's help, you escape the cultists and find your way to a town where you are offered your starting pokemon: Either an Eevee or the choice of one of three "Delta" Starters. Delta Pokemon have different typing and movesets from their normal counterparts. You can chose the Dragon/Ghost Charmander, Fighting/Dark Squirtle, or Psychic/Fairy Bulbasaur or an Eevee. You'll meet up with others who have been chosen by a legendary pixie and try to rid Torren of the cultist threat.

Alright I am taking my complaints to this thread because THIS FUCKING DUNGEON I SWEAR TO GOD. UGHHHHH.

Holy shit I have no idea how to beat Darkrai/Dark Crater with this starter team. It was easy with treecko/pikachu because treecko could just instantly take out the rhyperior that prevents discharge from working, but now I've got phanpy and pikachu and I'm just all out of ideas.

I've got one reviver seed from the waypoint, and my moves are tackle/ancientpower/slam/double-edge and quick attack/thunderbolt/agility/discharge. Why on earth does phanpy get no ground-type moves by level up? I can occasionally (very occasionally) take out the rhyperior with phanpy's ancientpower with pikachu agility spamming until lightningrod goes down, but Darkrai himself is a massive shitlord who spams ominous wind and god damn cresselia is weak to it and someone always dies before rhyperior goes down so I've gotta fight the asshole with no chance of revival. Gahhhh. Intimidator is also a shit that prevents me from killing rhyperior asap. >:( If anyone has advice I would appreciate it, does anyone know if sleep seeds work on Darkrai? Or is my only hope trying to find 5000 reviver seeds in the dungeon itself?

I am... not a fan. It seems too similar to Diancie, and that was a design I was not a fan of the first time around. The creepy doll look is not good. No theories on my part, I would guess it'll be another Victini... though in Victini's case it wasn't actually a main character in a previous generation's movie, it just showed up at the end as a cameo/spoiler sort of thing. This one is totally different. Then again Zorua/Zoroark were stars in that movie so... who know. It's still super weird to me that they haven't officially announced anything about Pokemon Z yet, though I do spy that "Pokemon the movie XY&Z" on the side of that movie poster.

Also Dark Crater is still a shit and I wish I could escape and go back to my storage to pick up some sleep/stun/reviver seeds :((((

It did, but that was a gen5 movie. Though now that I look into it, pokemon showing up in a previous generation's movies isn't that uncommon. Lucario was in that gen3 movie, Zorua/Zoroark in the gen4 one (with the Victini cameo at the end?), then Mega Mewtwo Y in the last gen5 movie. I'd say that's more evidence of Magiana being gen7.

Also you're right, I can leave, I was just too dumb to realise it, thank god. My escape orbs always took me back to the relay point so I assumed I was stuck there. Forgot I can literally just walk out '_,
