What's your fave's God Tier?

  1. I mean sharing a class or even a classpect doesn't guarantee similar people either. But I do agree that Rose's role in SU is not at all portrayed as passive.

I also have a bone to pick with making her a Muse cause it's one of the be-all and end-all classes. Rose's narrative is about rising from supposed normalicy and social disprivilege to be revolutionarily great. Placing her as a Muse or Lord alligns her with systems and order. Not appropriate, IMO.

What about a maid of some sort? Maybe of life or breath? She was pretty obsessed with earth and its constant changing nature, so much so that she literally became part of it

I'd agree with Maid, although I generally give her heart - the crystal gems are all about individuality when compared to homeworld.

  4. Then wouldn't that make them all Heart players? I don't see it. Rose is specifically symbolically connected with life & growth through her powers. I could see Heart for Pearl, and maybe Amethyst, but I think Rose is Life and Garnet is Time.

No, because Rose is the one who came up with the movement, and the life aspect has connotations with wealth and status that don't really fit with Rose as much.

I headcanon Pearl as Knight of Light, Garnet as Seer of Time and Amethyst as Rogue of either Void or Space.

(Also, Steven really pings me as a Heart player, so if Rose is too you get the dancestor aspect patterns in place)

  6. Why is life associated with that? Wealth and status seem to be things Life players have within Homestuck, not something that comes from their Life aspect necessarily. Plus Rose does actually have staus within her race, and is implied to have it even before the rebellion. I could equally see Steven as a Life player.

A good friend of mine just came to me with the question of whether Link is an Heir of Light or an Heir of Life. After I was through with it, we arrived at the conclusion that Link is a Heir of Doom, and that Ganon is some type of Breath player, most likely a Prince. He brings change, and he brings destruction.
Link, meanwhile, always gets destiny'd hard so he's definitely an Heir, and he has to deal with the change Ganon (or the villain du jour) brings, and returns it all to the status quo, as well as being effectively immortal and able to use many different things to bring doom to his enemies.

Lucretia is Void for sure, and fucking, Taako, Lup, and Barry could ALL be Doom, the IPRE session would be a total unbalanced disaster

Lemme just c/p the whole big ffxv post i typed up a while ago
Noctis: Heir of Space- I really wanted Luna and Noct to be the Time and Space player, respectively, and Heir just really seemed to fit Noct. He’s not someone who is extremely perceptive, so to speak, but he is a natural leader, and Space fits well with the Arminger and warping

Gladio: Knight of Rage- Someone dedicated to protecting? Who uses and fears his rage in equal measure? Who hides behind it like a mask that ends up getting far too in control? Yeah.

Iris: Rogue of Life- Classwise she reminds me of Nepeta and Roxy- sweet but a bit shy and avoidant, cute, and also an absolute badass. Life comes from her role as a guest party member mostly being healing, but also her exuberance and how she strives to cheer up everyone around her, plus her garden.

Cindy: Maid of Breath- Cindy was hard because the writers forgot to give her a whole personality, but Maid just seemed to fit? My ideal Cindy is someone a lot like Aradia, I suppose. She enables your movement and freedom, therefore Breath, and hopefully eventually she will focus on her own freedom, not others.

Ignis: Seer of Light- Yes I know it is literally Rose but Ignis and Rose would get along like a house on fire. They would be the personification of the how many levels of irony are you on meme. It would be great. Iggy is tactical like a Seer, and like a Seer he can bite off more than he can shew. Light is just the perfect aspect for him.

Prompto: Page of Heart- Page of Heart is Identity Crisis, the Classpect. Prompto tries to base his identity on others, because he’s scared of what he’d find in himself. He tries too hard, then feels bad about trying so hard, then tries even harder. With time and a whole lot of effort, though, he can work to define himself by his own Heart.

Luna: Mage of Time- Like I said, I really wanted Luna to be Time, and Mage seems absolutely perfect for her. Mages have the knowledge and the power and do what Needs to be done, no matter who gets hurt- especially themselves. Mages tend to get hurt by their aspect, and Luna has been haunted by the knowledge of the roles she and Noctis were born to play. Instead of sharing this with others, like a Seer would, she internalizes it and attempts to push through it all herself

Aranea: Thief of Blood- I also considered Thief of Life because #cashmoney, but I think Aranea is the type of inspire and demand loyalty, to force others around to her cause. A thief, for good or bad, is a force of nature, and that’s Aranea to a T. In Episode Prompto she steals Prompto away from the facility he was made in and, through her talks with him, takes away his bonds with Niflheim and Besithia.

    Birdy so long

Time to classpect for The Only Two Naruto Characters I Care About~<3!

    Haku: Maid of Blood
cause blood is bonds and duty and friendship and all that garbage, and maid because maids have a worrying tendency to be manipulated or controlled, and the poor kid has himself convinced that he’s only a weapon to be swung.
Haku’s big thing is that he’s got a kekkei genkai, a bloodline limit, which is the genesis of his whole tragic backstory, is what makes him so good at being a weapon, and (ostensibly) is what makes him important to Zabuza, so in a real sense he is “made of blood”
also I very deliberately gave him one of the “girl classes” because cmon it’s Haku

    Zabuza: Prince of Rage
it feels super obvious but it honestly works...like princes always have a super-intensified unhealthy version of their aspect going on, and Zab’s got his winning personality plus his whole demon chakra battle aura thing, which is literally the sheer force of his hatred for the world fucking weaponized. not to mention princes also tend to have the whole “everything I touch turns to ash” thing going on, and Zab’s life is...bad
(he grew up on the street in the shittiest ninja village, he genuinely wanted to make the place not be such a hellhole, but before he accomplishes that he gets killed by some randos on a bridge without ever having achieved anything he wanted and having lost the only person he ever loved for nothing :)
    )
speaking of love, all the canon princes are fucking garbage at relationships and they use people, which is uh, Zab’s entire thing. poor, poor Haku.

(also the eponymous Naruto is Page of Blood, like that’s hardly even a question)

cleverThylacine cuddles for the weird and the fierce

Ages and ages ago on this thread (sorry, can't be arsed to look for it at work) I was talking about my contention that Stanford Pines is a Mage of Space. Which I stand by.

Anyhow, one of the things that came up was that somebody (there were several someones in the conversation and I don't remember who this was) didn't think he'd do well with the frog breeding thing.

This morning in the shower I was thinking about this.

The only problem with Ford and the frog-breeding thing would be getting him to STOP it once they had the right frog. (He'd never be completely convinced it was 100% perfect. Nothing he does ever is, especially when he believes in it. Or so he thinks.)

Ford would be absolutely thrilled, in the madness and illogic of everything that Sburb is, to have something he needed to do that he could accomplish by Doing A Science. He would be talking ectobiology and epigenetics and his Knight would want to thwack him on the head sometimes. There would be beautiful diagrams (he doesn't have the overflowing wardrobe thing most Space players have, though like Calliope he has A Look, even when he changes clothes it's always a Badass Longcoat, but hell yes he's creative, the man is an artist) and copious notes in the never less than 10 computers he'd have on his person once he got used to them, and his Knight would be thwacking him about not writing the important stuff in weird elaborate codes, but he'd actually be AMAZING at breeding the frog.

I'm bored and depressed so Madotsuki gets to be the Maid of Hope. My reasoning is "Because I feel like it and the outfit would be cute on her." It can also fit with her failed Earthbound kid aesthetic.

I love trying to classpect the characters from whatever series I just started reading/watching, so here's my thoughts on BNHA:

Bakugo: Prince of Heart. His whole arc up until this point has been his road down towards self-destruction.
Tsuyu: Rogue of Space. The frogs don't lie, and she's sneaky.
Hatsume: Bard of Mind. She's chaotic, she operates under and entirely separate set of priorities, and she's brilliant nonetheless. Her appearance in the story and her presence and influence is pivotal as well, even if her influence is subtle.
Kirishima: Knight of Heart. Knight Syndrome, check. Chronic hero syndrome, check. All of it built on an image wrt who and what he thinks he's supposed to be? Check. He's such a Knight. I put him as heart because he's currently the only one able to get Bakugo to stop being stupid for half a minute.
Yaoyorozu: Some kind of Light player, I'm veering towards Mage. Lots of hard-earned knowledge and a repertoire of stuff she can contribute to any given situation, but she's the kind of person who paves the way, not the kind of person who brings it all to end. (Although her Creaty quirk screams Rogue of Void)
Todoroki: Some kind of Breath player. A big part of his arc is freeing himself from his father's toxic influence and becoming his own person proper, making his own choices, going his own path. He's a very reactive person, and beyond that I'm having trouble pinning down his class.

There's a reason I haven't talked about the protagonist yet. Midoriya is difficult to classpect. I've brainstormed with two people and we all have vastly differing opinions beyond agreeing that he's difficult.
@IvyLB proposed that he's an Heir of Heart, while my friend Hatianidiot considers him more of a Page of Heart. I, meanwhile, look at the damn list of Heart players we already have and would put him down as a Mind player instead what with his constant analyzing, or a Light player. Also, proactive person. Very, very proactive. He's the kind of asshole who can charge in with little thinking because he can adjust on the fly, although given the chance he can and does plan. Points have been raised against bard.
He's someone who takes opportunities and runs with them. So my current stance is Witch of Light, but I'm open for discussion.

    Scheherazade It's a story fractal

On the topic of FFXV classpects, I think Ardyn is definitely a Lord of something, although there's a few different options as to what. Could be Space, if Noctis is, to complete the parallels between them. Alternately, could be Life for his past as a healer and current status as 'apocalyptic daemon plague avatar'. Or Hope, for the whole 'failed Chosen King' thing.

Similarly, poor Ravus is almost certainly a Prince, probably of Light.

Taking discussion from the Homestuck main thread over here. Emilie Autumn is a legit troll name, she's a candyblood who'd be jade without the mutation (on the assumption not only limebloods can lose their pigmentation), wears a lot of tyrian pink and performs protest songs which are circulated in the underground, her shtick is about blood instead of gender, her sigil is her little crossed-out heart, and while I didn't put these on the pic from the doll-maker I think her horns should be two halves of a broken heart. She's Sylph of Heart and a Derse dreamer. In TAfWVG her counterpart becomes her Ancestor (Emily-with-a-Y becomes Emilye?), who could be Maid of Heart, maybe.

Brian Jacques was a Gemini but I think his troll self would be either brown or olive, probably brown because he grew up in the working-class docklands. He's definitely a Life player and Prospit dreamer, don't know about class, and his typing quirk consists of food puns. Lettuce all read some good books, wigglers, aren't you eggcited?

Terry Pratchett's a teal and I'm thinking either Rage or possibly Mind or maybe Hope, don't know about class.
