I just muted my mother on twitter and I feel so much better. It’s so relaxing knowing I won’t have anxiety every time I open the app.

 

I just had a really weird morning and needed to ramble about it somewhere

So I woke up early from a really involved stress dream from all my current anxieties, wherein my one job publicly shamed me for quitting in an unprofessional way, people found out about and were extremely grossed out by my internet side job, and i got like, a fourth of what i expected from payday and didn't have money to pay bills or rent and all my fears that quitting the job that was stressing me out a ton would lead me to financial ruin.
So I woke up from that dream, went to immediately check my account as it is actually payday and discovered i have, in fact, more money this paycheck than i was expecting, then checked my email to discover that a freelance job i applied to last night messaged me back to say they like my work and gave me a test that, if i pass, i will finally have a paid job in my major's field!! a small indie freelance one, but hey, pretty sure it's still gonna pay better than my day job

that was an emotional rollercoaster. i'm gonna.. go take my antidepressants and eat breakfast now that i've thoroughly woken up from all of that

 

Damn, the story ended well, but what a terrible dream.

My phone came with a VR set, aka a pair of goggles that separate and magnify what your eyes see so the phone can project two slightly angled images for a 3d effect
im watching a speedrun co-op with one eye each watching one player, and it's kind of trippy. but i can apparently now focus on which eye i want to look through / process input with, at least a little bit.

The older man who delivered my groceries this morning made a point to ask after my cat. His memory must be fucking amazing, he only delivers to me once every 3 months or so.

 

I really want to play the toreba crane game app but my internets too damn slow.

 

I´m getting first ever grocery delivery tomorrow. Do you know if it´s weird to ask the dude to just put everything down in front of my door? I don´t want him inside.

 

When we did it in my family that's what they standardly did- don't know if the standard is different where you are but I don't think it's rude at all to not want a stranger in your home

 

Yeah, I get the grocery delivery guys to come inside because they bring the crates upstairs for me, but most stores don't pay out for the advanced disclosure required for that (advanced disclosure is a criminal and background check for people who work public service with children, the elderly, and disabled people) and I think most stores don't cover the extended liability insurance you have to have either? So getting them at the door is normal imo.

i had no idea where else to excitedly say that earlier I got 16 good sized glass and cork test tubes in a customized rack for $2 at the thrift store and then squeal about how I'm going to over time stuff it with useful herbs and oils and ingredients and finished items and ahhhhhhhhhhhhh IT WAS MEANT TO BE.
