To which I say, you don't know that Mr.Wiki Man. For all we know, they could be hermaphodites who reproduce by barfing blood into buckets.

The idea of scorponok designing organic reproductive systems from the ground up a la the discarded wood robots is hilarious, but also.... no................

Actually, I just had a quick conversation today with an artist friend about xeno art, and she's gone from mostly homestuck to mostly humans, and she was talking about how balls are hard to draw, and when I said they made me nostalgic for nookbulge, she asked if transformers tend to have roboballs. The answer is no, but it's an ominous omen that this is coming up in the comic on this exact day XDDDD

OH, also I realized a thing. Grimlock was modified to fit the chest-mounted magnificence. Scorponok was modified to fit the chest-mounted baby. Grimlock was later able to slot the baby into his chest as easy as anything, nice and secure, no fuss. Did... Scorponok modify himself to also be able to mount the magnificence in his frame? Did he design the baby to be the same size as the magnificence because he wants modular chest mounted science objects? Mount any object you want in your chest, it's all designed to fit? Is this the transformers version of how humans worked on standardizing usb cables?????

look if you're gonna redesign organic reproduction from the ground-up to better suit a robot army strategy, well 1 then biped human-type isn't your best bet because it takes like 20 years for babies to be useful at anything, and 2 why wouldn't you go and design something really EFFICIENT and EFFECTIVE. standard human k-type reproduction is pretty pointless for armygrowing! you want to be able to make lots of babies very quickly.

......wait does that mean that when michael bay had that one bizarre scene where starscream was in a room with a bunch of eggsacs he was predicting the future?????? fuck.

Do we get to make crass comments about various mechs having "childbearing chests" now? I mean, we already had Whirl do it, and we've made remarks about Prowls substantial, um, hood region.

So Thundercracker and Skywarp aren't cold constructed? Which explains the outlier abilities, but raises further questions. Starscream gets them to agree to new frames, and Skywarp assumes it's vanity and to help him hide from whatever he did in Vos, but, like. What's Starscream's actual game, here? Do they know they're agreeing to look not like Starscream but like his cold-constructed line? I'd almost think it's a propaganda move--like, they're special and cold constructed, check it out--but Starscream hasn't met Megatron by that point. Unless Shockwave is one of Starscream's wealthy patrons and that's what's behind it?

(Imagine that for the first while he sometimes calls them the wrong names, and when asked he's like UGH FORGET IT I CAN'T BE BOTHERED but really they're the names of his dead batch, who have gone to crashes or relinquishment clinics or been left to starve because once damaged they're not worth repairing--except him, because he's done whatever it took to have the money not to)

Also the clumsy murder attempt at the end was really ??? and out of nowhere. WTF u doin, Screamy? That's not going to get you anywhere.

Finally! I've been wondering about that fucking hand from MTMTE 46 for months.

Why does the Grand Architect have all these pods containing.... humans? That's definitely not a robot. Why does it remind me of the headmaster incident? Oh, okay.

I'm kind of surprised that Thundercracker doesn't recognize Trypticon. I'm pretty sure he was around for the first two times that Trypticon woke up, during the Monstrosity arc. Although knowing Thundercracker he probably just forgot.

I have vaguely-defined Feelings about Tailgate's two whole weeks of pre-MTMTE life experience having been under Nova's expansionist, techno-supremacist, imperialistic rule and how that might've meshed with late-war Decepticon ideology if Tailgate hadn't gotten the braindump of war crimes along with it
