I don't know if he did but honestly I just disregard the gender assignments--I mean, it's not really like there's a girl-exclusive or even non-gendered class which is the same as the Prince class, which always makes me :/ because....there are DEFINITELY girl characters who fit Prince or Bard and such. the closest I think I could come with Prince would be Thief, or maaaaaaaaybe Rogue, in terms of like, stealing and relocating the thing, or just straight-up stealing it and keeping it, but since stealing and keeping usually implies that the person has a lot of the aspect and Bronya doesn't seem to have a lot of her aspect (she is the president of a club that is about grubsitting, which I gotta imagine involves social bonds and stuff), I'd probably go with Rogue for Bronya there. but it's not quite as fitting as Prince--she could theoretically be stealing Breath and reallocating it elsewhere, but I have no idea where she'd be putting it or how she'd be using it. ....admittedly, we haven't seen her in the story yet, so maybe once we do I'll feel a bit differently, but augh, the gender assignments for classes have always bothered me so much. I mean, I admit that I would absolutely hate being called a Maid as a person who IDs as nonbinary, but at the same time, you can change your outfit, so you don't have to present feminine in God Tier just because you're a Maid, and....maybe that could even be part of a character arc somehow, a boy learning to like, be comfortable with that, or something? honestly I just can't stand gender assignments. especially when we now have canon nonbinary characters. I like to think that some of the classes are just more INCLINED towards a particular gender--so like, you'd probably end up with more male Bards than nonbinary or female Bards, but you will GET female and nonbinary Bards all the same.
so in other words, apparently several prominent staff on the Hiveswap team are rumored to be leaving, and people are speculating that VIZ Media is now running the Hiveswap show on top of helping with the HS books/site redesign and removing most traces of WhatPumpkin from the new HS site.

Kuprum's making me think Heir of Hope because his Hope is to be transformed into the thing he desires, as John transformed into the breeze... I don't know, just brainstorming here. If Elwurd is another Tetrarch, maybe she's a Knight of Hope?
Cirava's Hope and "shouldn't be alive"... might they be a Thief of Hope, having stolen someone else's chance to survive a dangerous situation and thus their hope of living, or a Seer or Mage or Witch, having either seen and exploited or manipulated their chances? Or would that be Light? Hope would be positive emotions... Diemen's the Sign of the Visualiser, so does that imply Seer? On further thought I think Chahut might be Thief of Hope; her scrapbook in the semi-official comic depicts kills and survivors, so is she playing games with her victims and giving them hope of escape only to take it from them? Brr.
Hope is positive emotions and belief, if I'm remembering correctly. it's about like, positivity and openness and having options and believing in things even if others say they're impossible, believing just because you want to believe.
Diemen looks like a cheerful little bug, so either Seer for reasons I said above or something which causes the aspect in others. I'll probably be proved wrong when the game comes out but I can see him cheering everyone else up and motivating them.
Okay, Dammek is definitely a Bard. He has the performer thing down (Gamzee's clowning and Cronus' music) and is more enthusiastic about it than Xefros, his behaviour is causing the destruction of his moirallegiance, his use of the portal brought about the breaking of his and Joey's bonds by separating them from everyone they knew, his goal was to be involved in the destruction of the restrictive regime run by another Blood player, and quite possibly his actions with the portal will indirectly bring that goal about.
"Behavior is causing the destruction of a relationship" goes equally well for nearly half the cast. This isn't a series about people only having nice happy relationships where everyone communicates great all the time. Plus, arguably role-playing counts as a performance, and most of the kids have an interest in music (Dave especially).
is this the place to mention that apparently some people from the whatpumpkin team have been let go? cohen tweeted about looking for work, and said leaving whatpumpkin was like, sudden and unexpected and james roach also tweeted he's looking for work, and so did shelby cragg. uhhh? when is the next act supposed to be out?
Yeah I mentioned it a few posts upthread i am experiencing significant anxiety about the future of Hiveswap and i can't for the life of me understand why they would fire everyone like that. act one was popular as hell and they just got rid of all the people who made it. even the fucking soundtrack dude! when the music is one of the most iconic things about the game! what the fuck are they planning to do? what are their goals that this seems like a good idea to them? and why was there no whisper of this news before yesterday?
Woops i really failed at reading comprehension, i read the previous 2 pages before posting but only the first like, 2 on this page. Sorry abt that!
well seems like a stalling tactic but guess we'll take whatever we can get at this point. and at least it's nice to have confirmation hiveswap is still An Thing That Is Happening, on some level. and hey who knows friendship sim might probably be kinda fun!
according to rah-bop’s post here, it really does sound more like a financial issue thing than anything else, and i’m at least glad there seem to be no hard feelings as of yet
Ok, that's somewhat reassuring despite still being not great. I still wonder why they laid off so many people who had been very influential on the game so far but hopefully we'll get more details soon.
