As annoying as the Ford haters and the Stan-Can-Do-No-Wrong folks (usually the same people) and both the obnoxious Billford shippers and the Billford and Billdip antis were, they don't hold a candle to anything in the SU fandom. @Acey and I have discussed how hilarious this is given all the really dystopic shit in GF and the fact that SU is a peaceful show with really positive messages overall, but unfortunately, I think that may be why. All the obnoxious antis and whiners who manage to find fault with SU would have simply not lasted in GF or Adventure Time fandom because the very presence of con man Stanley Pines, chaotic evil demon Bill Cipher, vampire heroine Marceline, and serial sexual harasser Ice King would have driven them out. The least problematic show on television has, sadly, attracted the least tolerant people into the fandom. (now someday I will figure out why Wild Kratts, which is on PBS Kids, has so many nasty, crass and grossly inappropriate fans. I mean, sure the Kratts esssentially turn into new animals every week but most of the furries I know from elsewhere are nice people.)

so i haven't watched SU in a long time for a lot of reasons but I just watched the new eps and all I can say is GODDAMN.

sorry to double post but i realized- Spoiler: spoilers this has answered a thought id had- why didnt we ever get to see rose's other outfits?? because she was already shapeshifted and that might have been too hard for her to figure out how to do on the fly. actually i wonder if she was ever even poofed, because people would have realized that its the diamond that was supposedly shattered Real Quickly
Spoiler: SPOILER ALERT: I've been sitting on this for the longest time but... I've always thought Rose Quartz was really PD, I just doubted that something that crazy would actually happen (even after predicting Mabel's bubble and the ending of Sailor Moon Sailor Stars) and I didn't want to deal with the wank so I never said anything.
Spoiler: a single pale rose I had speculated that Rose was PD at one point, but then that seemed less and less likely so I abandoned that theory. Just...damn. Good misdirection, Crewniverse. Well-played.

Spoiler I seem to recall it being a common fan theory at one point, weirdly enough! (I don't doubt that you didn't see it, but I saw it a fair bit myself.) But it really died down in popularity when Eyeball said she saw Rose shatter Pink.
