the meaning of "Witnessed" is not "i saw this post." what it means it roughly is, "i see that your circumstances are really sad and have sympathy for you" or "wow, that thing is so bad/what the fuck/whatever, i'm sorry that you had to see it on tumblr or elsewhere and i'm what-the-fucking at it too." the second meaning of "Witnessed" can be likened to the tumblr slang "cursed," i think, though the territory it covers is at least slightly different than what the latter word does.
