Also how in the name of fuck can Mythal and Flemeth coexist in the same body at all, given Mythal is literally the All-Mother and Goddess of Justice.
For Fairness' sake she was a mortal woman, and not technically a spirit, but since she essentially possesses Flemeth, and Flemeth's word choice of 'She is a part of me' very deliberately mirrors how Anders describes his union with Justice, the Anders-Justice-Vengeance comparisons remain close at hand. And while Flemeth is clearly somewhat changed, it's very very clear Mythal must have been twisted beyond recognition through their union, since, y'know, Flemeth is really basically the sole contender for Shittiest Mom In The Whole Universe.
Why did she want Urthemiel so badly? I think maybe it was a last ditch effort to try and restore her inner essence as a Just and Loving being instead of the twisted shell she became by touching Flemeth, so full of hatred and fiercely demanding Vengeance.
(And let us not forget that Vengeance was never Mythal's domaine, it was Elgar'nan's. Mythal was the one to tell him to stop murdering and imprisoning the Sun. Even if that's filtered through legend, we know she was murdered by her political enemies (Abelas explicitly uses the word Murder and while he is not necessarily a reliable narrator given he is one of the temple's guardians and branded as Mythal's property, he also has no reason to paint a pretty picture or make excuses for her. Solas explicitly says she was the best of the Evanuris and that they were the ones that killed her in Trespasser and I mean the implications that Solas and Mythal were lovers is very much there, but still) and Solas doesn't correct Morrigan when she claims people went to the Temple in the Arbor Wilds to seek Mythal as a Judge for their disputes.)
I think the hope was that if she gains the soul of Urthemiel, both her power would grow and the innate Beauty may overwrite the Ugliness of the Hatred and Anger in Mythal-Flemeth. To overcome the need to groom her daughters into vessels for her essence to overtake. The way Morrigan calls her out on it saddens her, not because she hates that Morrigan was hurt, but because she was acting against the innate nature she was supposed to have. Because she became no better than the other Mage-Warlords. And she hopes that maybe Urthemiel with his gentle and kind High Priest, the Architect, may help her become whole again. Sadly we never get to see whether this actually works because the Post-Credit-Cutscene Happens :)
The fact that Solas has taken Flemeth-Mythal-Urthemiel into himself is... interesting. We know Mythal's essence functions a lot like spirit possession, but we barely have an idea what an Old God's soul does to the one it is embedded in beyond the fact that Kieran had interesting dreams (which will be gone after, implying something similar to Tranquility maybe?) and now feels lonely. Here it'd be interesting to see how Connor (from the DA:O Redcliffe questline) developes after his possession by Desire, but bc I sided with the Templars on Brejan I didn't see him. Will have to see with Àedàn I guess???
Anyways we also have no fucking clue whether someone can have multiple spirits in their body, it has never happened before! The Well of Sorrows is described as a Geas, more of an inscribed power of will than a true possession since it can be resisted somewhat as long as Mythal isn't there tomake use of it. Whatever the case, Solas is lucky he's a boneheaded idiot because I doubt it will be easy to resist the essence of a fellow evanuri tainted by a Chasind Witch's hatred for all of mankind and an Old God. If he is resisting at all which given his rapid escalation during Trespasser I am... not so sure about.
Another note is that any Inquisitor who drank from the well can technically be stopped/influenced by Solas now since we know the ability to use the Geas is handed down to anyone who contains Mythal's essence (Flemeth). This will be... interesting to see develope in DA4, especially for Solavellan world states.

I also hope to fuck she survives her confrontation with Corypheus. Honestly I'm sort of planning to include her as trying to petition to join the Lucerni in a spinoff of the Marisela centric stuff where she accompanies Dorian to Tevinter for some reason or another (lbr it's bc Josie wants to keep a valued friend and diplomatic link to Tevinter safe)

 

There's definite conflict potential there since for all the Venatori are a bunch of supremacist dickheads, Calpernia is solidly anti-corruption, anti-slavery, pro-education, pro-liberation, she just wants to see Tevinter become as good as it can be. Sure, she's a patriot but in the sense that Captain America is a patriot. She believes in the potential of the Tevinter Imperium and her people, and she wants to exterminate what stands in the way of this potential, which in her eyes are the conservative magisters and their backwards political intrigue.
And Dorian agrees with a lot of that! Except the slavery bit. But he's also too prideful to let a former lieutenant of Corypheus show him up by being more progressive than he is. I foresee a lot of screaming matches while Mae sits next to them, sipping on her wine and lecturing the younger Lucerni about the importance of presenting a unified front in public.

It's almost a shame I made her so beautiful bc technically Asaaranda spends 99% of her time wearing either a mask or an almost opaque veil. She was raised errr.... very conservatively and she is sort of afraid of her own magic even though she does enjoy playing with wisps and fade wandering meditating (Not sure if she's genuinely a somniari or just gets really close to it but. It's a thing.)

anyways the Vague Idea For A Cocktail my mom informed me is literally just me reinventing a Joe Collins (aka Tom Collins with vodka instead of gin) and this is why I'm a ridiculous nerd.
But yeah basic premise was thyme vodka + limoncello + sparkling water on ice with maybe a thyme sprig for garnish if I'm feeling fancy
