Spoiler: is MTMTE 33 still spoilers The Previous Domesticated Scraplets were mentioned in a one-off line in MTMTE 33. On Quantum Ship 1/our main Lost Light, the Rod Squad was shrunk down to deal with a nanocon infestation (Whatever That Is) during the annual; on Quantum Ship 2/Everyone But Rewind Dies, Magnus was injected with yet more domesticated scraplets, which were flushed with an antiviral after they dealt with probably ate the other infection. These May Or May Not Be the quantum twins of/the same as the domesticated scraplets Brainstorm brought onto Quantum Ship One as a miscellaneous Mad Science Distraction and were later dumped in the reservoir by Getaway for Convenient Corpse Disposal.
Spoiler: LL Also, oh man. On the note of conflicted-but-pained feelings about Getaway, Rodimus says that 'getaway prime' just sounds bad. Now. One, that's fair. But two, as an MTO, odds are decent Getaway chose his name, a la Brainstorm. Then, Rodimus doesn't have any reason to know this, because we only see Getaway telling Tailgate about it, but it sounds a lot like Getaway did choose his name, and chose it because when he was dumped onto a battlefield half-thawed, his immediate instinct was to run. It could have been a lie, but... manipulating someone with the truth can be a lot easier than coming up with an elaborate lie. When Getaway's life is falling apart for every other reason, and when he's responsible himself for... a LOT of that, this is a pretty minor thing to add to the pile. But it's so personal, and if his story was true, it's even more of a reason for melancholy sighing over how things ended up with him. I don't know where I'm going with this, but I love it. Extra pain for the pain pile.

Spoiler Please, it's Rodimus Prime. You can't just tack "prime" onto the end of your existing name, you have to change it to fit. It wouldn't have been Getaway Prime. It would have been Getimus Prime. I don't know if that actually sounds any better, to be honest.
Spoiler actually this is making me think of. what his actual prime name could be. optimus' original name was orion, so it stands to reason that maybe the prime names start with the first letter of their last known name? of course this left me with grevious prime (star war............) which is now also making me think of possible prime!getaway fic

Spoiler Okay, Abscondis Prime is actually not a bad name unless you think about it too hard. And frankly that's the same for not an insignificant portion of the cast. Spoiler One, ow. Two, at least Swindle didn't choose it for him. Ilu Roddy but you must never live this down. After being absolutely furious at Getaway for such a long time, it's.. nice to have closure? Except he just crumbled. And then he got up. And then he crumbled much more literally. I have a lot of feelings about all this and I'm not sure what they all are. But good job Whirl! My heart. <33333

Spoiler: Griping To be honest, I don't think I've liked most of Barber's writing since the first season of Robots In Disguise. I mean, I like his take on Arcee, and the whole bit about the Primes being horrible people was cool until he ruined it. But other than that? Ech. I'm basically only looking at the pictures now because the words are so fucking awful.
Spoiler: Starscream, OP and Unicron I haven’t been keeping up with OP, but in Unicron #1 Starscream’s rejoined the decepticons, started working with Shockwave and is calling himself the chosen one again and I’m just ??? Honestly I’m this far from discounting everything Barber’s written and taking coldstar’s fics as the actual sequel. (Oh, and it’s kind of implied Optimus is planning to sacrifice Cybertron for Earth? Which is just stupid)
