I'm wondering if it might be tied to how they were taken out?

It also depends on if the teeth are like... salvageable. Moony's teeth were so impacted that they were basically crushed before being surgically removed, so they weren't about to hand him a bag of tooth glitter.

Mine's intact and isn't buried in the bone, so I don't imagine it'd be a huge deal. My main problem is with my even-numbers thing :(

Mine were taken out because there wasn't enough room in my jaw for the extra molars.

I got asked if I wanted to keep mine after and even though i gave them an emphatic yes, they didnt give them to me. I was also fresh out of surgery and i couldnt remind them bc my mouth was still numb. Still peeved to this day :argh:

I don't have wisdom teeth, but my baby teeth were enough little pieces of shit that it evens out.

I got to keep the first two teeth that they pulled out. Probably because they were the first teeth I technically lost.

    1) they had to pull them out because my adult teeth were growing in behind them and causing problems
    2) yes I had two rows of teeth for a bit there, like a shark
    3) the roots were still attached and fully formed when they pulled them. (for the record, your baby teeth fall out because your adult teeth come in under them and eat away at the roots. The roots should be gone when your teeth come out)

Yeah, I had a similar problem. I had two baby teeth out, but never an adult tooth - this particular tooth is the only one I've ever even had to have a filling in, because it's set awkwardly far back and it's hard to clean without making me gag. I think it probably ought to have come out sooner. Any tips for dealing with the even-numbers/asymmetry worry, other than asking to keep the tooth?

@vuatson yep, i'm in the USA! they cleaned it and sealed it up in a little sterile pouch before giving it to me. and it was definitely a dentist, not an oral surgeon, who extracted the tooth.

edit: re how it was taken out, they were able to pull it, no surgery or anything needed. (it was the opposite of impacted, actually it was protruding too much because i didn't have a wisdom tooth below it to stop it.)

Teeth stuff: I’ve had several teeth removed - some to do deal with overcrowding, at the dentist's under local anaesthetic, which I got to keep, and a badly impacted wisdom tooth which I got removed at the hospital under general anaesthetic, which I didn't.

That's all in the uk if that helps? Also they haven't spread out very much - there's no obvious gaps.

Hey so my parents are making up for several years of not having money for birthday and christmas presents by buying me a new laptop for my birthday. Does anyone have any suggestions? I mostly use it for games but not super super high end games- mostly modded skyrim and minecraft, stellaris, stuff like that. So something that can run that decently well would be nice. Also something thats a bit sturdy- I cart it back and forth between my place and my girlfriends place and sometimes to school, usually via public transit and walking. So not too fragile. I am pretty sure I have an upper limit of 1000$? Thank you for any advice

so, my body's been doing this weird tensing stuff lately, in like...the past few weeks or month or so

my brow keeps sorta tensing and stiffening even though I'm not actually actively creasing it or whatever? at first I thought it was just an anxiety thing, and it did seem to start off as that, but it's been happening around home and at work without any clear connection to anger or anxiety or w/e. and lately when I'm chilling in bed sometimes my legs will kinda like freeze up and get all stiff in a position and I have to slowly coax them out of it, which has never been a problem before. and this is really worrying because what if that happens when I go to stand up or something and my legs won't move like I want them to?

does anyone know what might be up here?

I haven't bought a laptop in years, but you're going to want to compare 3 things to be able to play games: graphics card, RAM, and processor. You're going to need a computer with 4GB of RAM (this is also often listed as "memory") minimum to play PC games, even older ones, with a decent experience, ime, although more is better. You should be looking for a dedicated video/graphics card as well with at least 1GB of video memory, and your processor speed should be 1.8Ghz or faster.

I'm also going to second ASUS. I know some people have had problems with them, but between the HP, the Lenovo, and the ASUS laptop, the ASUS treated me pretty well and ran games the best of the three. All were a comparable age too, so it wasn't just a matter of upgrading from one year to the next.

Mine did that too, but it was still under warranty and they fixed it.

I would recommend going for 8GB of memory rather than 4 if possible, depending on the games you’re wanting to play. A lot of newer games really do seem to need a lot of space. There were a whole bunch I bought but was never able to play because my laptop with 4GB couldn’t run them. Thirding the ASUS recommendation though. Mine played everything I asked it to that required 4GB or less, until fallout 3 killed the fan in its third or fourth year of life.
