cream cheese frosting deserves to be repped, it’s so good. if it has even a remote likelihood of working with what i want to put it on, i will immediately go for it instead of any other kind of icing carrot cake’s deliciousness is at LEAST 60% the cream cheese frosting
Buttercream is mostly just Glace that adds butter, tbh. That's why it's tasty, but also why it's easier to OD on. Too rich.
I mostly think frosting is Gross but cream cheese frosting is the one exception. Also my official Family Recipe Opinion is that carrot cake should have neither nuts nor raisins because carrot cake is supposed to have a smooth rich texture that clings to the fork and things in carrot cake impede that.
Also on a slightly different note, if we're gonna talk about bread products we gotta talk about cornbread and why some people feel the need to make it sweet and cakey instead of savory and crumbly as the universe intended.
oh my god the first time i had sweet cornbread i was NOT expecting it and the visceral horror i felt cannot be accurately described in words
Like, I like cornbread as a sweet thing, but that's what the maple syrup is for! Or the honey. If it's sweet by default, what's the point?
Honey.... on cornbread................ I am Intrigued, but also, confused and concerned. I have to try this.
And butter. Honey and butter. I still prefer maple syrup, but I'm from Canada, and my partner (who is from the States) goes for honey and butter.
i've never really found a cornbread that agrees with me. it's alright but... the texture tends to be a bit nope and its taste has always been a bit off to me..
im a dumbass from canada so i just take cornbread as its offered to me. Its pretty good but i dont know what kind the muffin i had yesterday was
Opinion: grocery stores season their preseasoned chicken things like lacroix (reportedly as i have never had it) flavors their water.
Also, vanilla ice cream (the kind that actually contains both vanilla and cream) is best enjoyed with olive oil and sea salt and you can fight me IRL on this.
