Did I just research medici villas mostly for architectural inspiration for rennaissance era italy and then immediately eyezoom on the story about Bianca Cappello and within seconds applied it to the Montilyet family's history? yes. yes I did.

 

obligatory note that yes, I am aware the medicis are tuscan and all of their villas are in tuscany and Antiva is heavily based on Veneto/Venice, but also listen. listen. Bianca Cappello was Venetian. So I'm still valid.

Also the story of this woman is too good to pass up as inspo for how the marriage/fidelity drama with the Du Paraquettes went down.

yo ma and pa and brorbro brought me Vin Sano del Chianti and a real Chianti to try.
I'm actually kinda fucking excited about the Vin Sano bc i rly like white wines that have this funky warm and rich amber color just for aesthetic reasons, same as how i love rosés that have The Millenial Pink color? And dessert wines are #nice and I don't actually think I've ever seen a really good one in stores that wasn't a prosecco/champagne or some other bubble wine which are imo way different even if also nice.
Always excepting Cidre Doux of course, but that doesn't rly count bc it's cider and also the kind i buy is not exactly what we would call nice even on accident. It's cheap as shit and sweet as fuck is what I am saying.

 

me: I'm not really a foodie or particularly boujee and I don't super often drink wine so like I don't have big opinions

also me: has fancy barique unfiltered wine in the fridge rn, gets excited about color and flavor profile, trying to figure out what food to pair with what kind of drink, snobbish opinions about cheese and how the traditional manufacturing methods & ingredients are CLEARLY superior, scoffs at eating something that isn't a regional specialty in Tuscany, where half the regional specialties involve black truffle and extremely expensive wine, literally unironically posts food pictures to instagram, very much still considering buying a big rolling pin and a scoring board for pasta making, maybe a new rolling shit out board too, almost salivated in Montepulciane seeing a store full of TRADITIONALLY MADE COPPER POTS AND KETTLES AND SHIT OH MY GOSH YOU GUYS HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH I WANT ONE BUT THEY'RE SO FUCKING EXPENSIVE
