It's most likely native. Mum's plan is to feed it if possible and then put it out into a proctected-from-weather corner nearby and let it go, unless the people from the lizard protection that she called phone her back.

Edit: it's probably a common wall lizard- going by the video mum sent me - which is quite rare in Germany.

I found a goose with white makings over its eyes so it looks like it's got angry eyebrows.

ikr! they're apparently very common in southern Europe but only happen in germany in the warm/dry bits, which is just where my parents live. Plus apparently they like vineyards which again, is quite near to where my parents live so it might have come from there!

You never know, sometimes there's a one off rat that lives past 6 years.

sparrows keep coming into my house

one was jsut sort of, hanging out, inside, for Hours

it was on the rafters for a while apparently unable to figure out how to leave

when it finally left the rafters it promptly ignored all the open windows and doors and flew straight into an unopenable window

    versi2 ???????

I was walking around my great aunt's pond out in the country, and I saw a tiny baby ribbon snake! It's probably hard to tell how small it is in the picture, but the leaf it's on is not very big.

    EDIT: better quality image

Two big draft horses yesterday. I think they were setting up for some kind of holiday wagon ride thing.

saw a random cat out on my porch!! he's really fluffy for winter and i put out cat food for him for the winter. he eats like a goblin and is somewhat tame enough that i can sit near him, look away, and chill as he eats.

there is an old blackbird that keeps coming into the house. like, a lot

a while ago (as in this happened around christmas i think) i heard the sound of Shenanigans, followed by Mum coming into my room holding a blackbird that was just kind of, looking up a little with an "i don't know what's going on here but i don't like it, not at all" expression, which was hilarious and i was like, "bird!"

and she said "the same one" in the most disappointed tone of voice
because it was the old blackbird

the same blackbird that i've found hopping in confused circles under a table

or trying repeatedly to take off through a window, resulting in it just sort of flapping against the window a lot

also i may have seen it perching in the grapevine eating unripe grapes, but that may have been a different blackbird, it was kind of hard to tell because leaves

Went down to the canal to feed the ducks and then got followed by this Swan?? Who kept bowing at me and her wings were all not mantled?? I bowed back when she did and was trying to mimic the little grumble-honk noise her and her boyfriend were making? Maybe she was just making sure I had no more food but this has literally never happened before :O

Video features me going 'this is really weird' repeatedly in my annoying girly voice. Need to get onto T YESTERDAY D:

I saw a black squirrel today. Pretty cool.
Also, either two feet is a lot larger than I think it is, or those pitch-black birds that hang out near my office aren't corvids, but then I don't know what else they would be.

Take a picture for group identification? Though that said, a crow IS pretty large once you get close enough to actually realize
