For everyone coming into Chicago for the convention: their travel directions are... bad. By which I mean nonexistent. Fortunately, there’s an anime convention that happens in the same convention complex every spring, and they have their shit together after all these years. Here are their travel directions: https://www.acen.org/about-us/about-the-show/directions-and-parking/ The Crowne Plaza O’Hare is across River Road and down a bit from the Hyatt. You can see it on their map there, slightly to the southwest of the pin. If you are planning to use the L (elevated trains/subway, color coded lines such as the orange and blue lines): I’m not entirely sure whether the fare information is up to date. It shouldn’t be too off though. If you don’t have small bills, buy coffee or something first because I don’t think you’ll get any change back from the machine. Keep your fare card if possible for the return trip!!! They try to discourage littering by making a new card cost money. You can load more money onto a card you already have.
Oh additionally, I’m not sure this is clear from the directions: the convention center complex is very close to the airport but not reasonably walkable. If you’re landing at O’Hare and for some reason the hotel shuttle won’t work out for you, the L blue line terminates inside the airport. Same deal with the fare cards. Get off at Rosemont.

@coldstars I spent the last two days reading your canon divergent au (mostly the big chaptered fics, I'd read a lot of the other stuff) and it's sooooo good. Dumb question, when you get frustrated with humans in transformers stuff, is it all humans or just like, when they shove in token humans or do big complicated crossovers? (as much as I don't care about any of the IDW GI Joe stuff I still think it's hilarious that Thundercracker is a GI Joe now, but mostly for the humans I like Marissa and Verity.)
