Athol Magarac I prefer reading posts without a lot of topics.

I don't believe that I hate people with HIV+ right now. I do believe that most people who are HIV+ right now had less power than anyone did, which isn't much. I do believe that in America, you could find people who gambled about not practicing safe sex and lost about not catching any STD, but from a moral standpoint you could stick them in the same group as people who took the same gamble and got lucky. I believe that most people who weren't actively trying to catch AIDS aren't immoral. (Hmmm, the AIDS-seekers are a pretty deep quandry, do they even exist anymore?)

However, everyone is telling me that I am serophobic, and won't get better until I accept it, so I must really hate them even though I don't believe it right now.

I DONT FUCKING KNOW WHAT ANYONE WANTS!

People keep telling me "oh this thing is wrong" so I try to correct and then they say "oh now this is wrong" or I don't try to correct and people get mad at me for that.

And people are trying to tell me what I'm thinking which I'm pretty sure I told them makes me angry but then I get told off for being angry.

And I'm sorry I lied about Spock making me angry which made it acceptable for her to blame me for choosing not to shut up.

    Right. First off. Massive homophobia.

Why did you pick Pricilla for the pseud? Was he a drag queen or have you just given a gay man an effeminate nickname to show your disdain for him?

"Constantly seducing guys that just weren't into him" if he successfully seduced them, that's really up to him and his lovers

"trying to break some sort of sex record at 17" you mean like most teen boys who have any degree of charisma and desire to do a fuck.

"trying to steal their condoms mid-coitus" THERE you go, that's the one solid thing here to be mad about. That's fucked up and he shouldn't have done that!

Was he HIV-positive? Or were you wishing he'd catch it and then die.

Wishing that a gay man would die of aids is a mix of homophobia, serophobia and also being incredibly callous and it's not okay.

NO. I did a quick search and cannot find evidence that anyone ever did!

[UPDATE] I found something but it's an incredibly fucking fringe behavior born of severe mental health issues.

Do you know why? Because it way a fucking horrifying way to die and nobody took it seriously because it was a Queer Disease. People staged die-ins, literally dying on the steps on capitol hill to try and get any recognition or compassion and help.

I'm not telling you what you're thinking I'm telling you this is how it reads. This is what you are saying with your words. If you do not want to say these things, reconsider your word choices.
I have been telling you this, over and over.
    You're allowed to be angry.
However this is fucked up and another example of the thing I just said:

    How this reads:

"I'm sorry for being victimized and silenced by spock, clearly you don't think I have any emotions and should just accept anything she says to me"

When that's literally nothing nobody has said or done. You're allowed to be angry. You don't have to like spock. Spock laid out an extremely clear list of things she wants from you and will cease interacting with you if you address them and just stop saying untrue things about her.

You gotta double check cause and effect. I've told you this before. You have to check the timeline, stop bundling people together and attributing stuff to just one person. It takes longer to do, it takes effort, I know it's hard but you're just, doubling down at the moment. Take a break, do some self care.

I will say that while I deeply, deeply empathize with the need to snark right now, it's super not helping and is just gonna make stuff worse for being posted in the thread.

It's not snark to quickly point out untruths, I wouldn't think.

Being heated and yelling isn't permission to lie about someone with impunity.

    @Athol Magarac
Saying a line of thought you're repeating is serophobic isn't the same as saying you're a horrible person or a cartoonish villain. It's saying, that line of thought is harmful and comes from a harmful place encouraged by society. Serophobia is usually connected to homophobia in society. Even many gay people pick up homophobic thoughts or trends, because it is encouraged in society. This is also true of serophobia, which is connected.

Having a serophobic line of thought isn't the same as being a caricature of the belief. For instance, you can be homophobic without going into the streets and committing hate crimes. Homopobic or serophobic lines of thoughts are biases people pick up from society. When people say 'you are saying something serophobic' they are saying 'this is an idea created by serophobia that you are repeating'.

I'm a little confused on Priscilla but I'm guessing this is someone you knew from the responses. The issue people are taking is you saying you wish someone you knew who was queer died of, what is really known as the 'queer/gay disease' in culture and killed a lot of people. Plus it's a disease that specifically wasn't researched because of its attachment to the LGBT community and higher ups not valuing the lives of queer citizens. Regardless of any issues that person may or may not have had, you can see why people would think that's a kind of messed up thing to say right? Think about it. An entire generation of queer people, esp gay men died of a disease -> I knew someone who was queer and I thought he was an asshole -> I hope he caught and died from it. I'm trying to not make comparisons to anything else, but it just reads as 'I hope this minority died of something a lot of people in his minority group died unfair deaths from because I think he's an asshole'. Because the AIDs crisis was so systemically unfair, it is very discomforting to read that anyone thinks someone could die a deserved death from it, and that's why you're receiving these reactions.

  15. I don't think anyone is saying that you actually secretly hate [insert group here] and need to internalize that fact.

I think that what people are saying is that, intentional or not, your actions and words are broadly harmful to [insert group here], and if you don't actually hate that group and want to harm them, then you need to accept responsibility for the harm you have caused (intentional or not) and work on changing your behavior so as to avoid causing more harm in the future.

First off, you(group) with the quotes, I really don't have the energy to do it back even though I could. I'm slightly repeating myself too.

TLDR for quote purposes: I responded to Kathy's Points.

" It's like wishing that someone who liked to play RL frogger on the highway would actually get hit by a car."
that's also fucked up. wishing death on people in general is pretty fucked up.

I can't parse a lot of what you've said here 'cause i lack broader context but like what i take from this is:

No, he doesn't have HIV, or if he does you're not party to it, but you wish he did, and you think he'd deserve it 'cause he's a bad person, and you'd prefer it if he was dead

Also, as a side note, this latest post from athol is getting REAL close to the wiggling line, for reasons explained when these subjects were touched on in the wiggler. I made the call to let this go through, but this is... very out of line, and extremely close to being TOO out of line.
