Since that includes your "approve post" button, who all do you propose should moderate you? I admit there's a side of me that would like to see you on snitch-only moderation, but while that would be briefly amusing for the bystanders I don't really think it would be a good idea.

I mean, we all handle moderation-approval and wiggling. It's just that she's latched onto Spock as An Villain for whatever reason.

Well, it's obviously not a good idea for Spock to wiggle her posts and then never tell her why. Or, for that matter, for Spock to approve her posts and then not be allowed to reply to them. So if the request for Spock not to talk to her was granted, the load would fall on other moderators, and I'm wondering if she thinks there are any whose responses she would actually prefer.

Fine. My buttons get pushed when Spock speaks, and it doesn't have to be deliberate.

    I know.... bullet points...

    • Is Athol a human with human rights?
    • Does being in a position of power have any affect on the rights a person has in the following agree/disagree/explanation points?
    • "Don't talk to me" is an acceptable boundary
    • It is acceptable to break that boundary because you feel that the other person is in the wrong
    • "You're causing distress" is an acceptable thing to say to someone

Being annoyed by a person does not require them to do anything about it. Spock is not antagonizing you. Stop talking about spock and spock will go away.

I predict you will not be able to do this. Prove me wrong.

When you are literally @-ing spock, you can’t exactly expect them not to respond, that isn’t how KS generally works

Oh, also, are you calling me a liar when I say that they're pushing my buttons? Translation being that they're making me angry?

Yes. However, you seem to mistake "deserves rights and respect" with "should be catered to completely with no regard for anyone else."

    I don't understand what you're asking here.
Yes. HOWEVER "don't talk about me/tell lies about me" is also an acceptable boundary. It's a two way street.

Spock is not obligated to let you liable them and twist events in your favor. It is not reasonable to expect them to do this. Don't talk ABOUT Spock or your interactions, Spock with stop engaging with you. It's that easy.

    See my other points above.

Considering how many times we've had to rehash the same points over and over again, it's shockingly effective.

Actually no, it's unreasonable to try and set that boundary as a means of "so stop responding when I openly and publically talk shit about you".
If you want Spock to stop talking to you, you gotta stop talking to and about her. It's literally that simple.

To be fair to Athol, this is a situation where 'talking about mods' also covers 'talking about spock', and she really, really wants to discuss moderator actions and policy. Plus there are cases where I don't personally feel comfortable wiggling something without explaining why (like the cussing post), or where I feel like it's important to address something in a post only tentatively approved (like in tumblr.txt earlier today)

So I wasn't going to go as far as promising to cut all contact, and I'm already wincing in anticipation of the possibility of her dropping me, but then trying to do a GOTCHA next time I say something to her. In general, I don't want to commit to any absolutes here. But what I said is true, if the fact-based lying stops, I won't say much, because I've seriously got negative interest in talking to her.

('spock upset me' is not a lie, and nobody said so. but 'spock upset me' does seem to spring from me refusing to let her say provably untrue things about me)
