    Galley's going to see when Erskin gets his ass kicked. Do you think he'd withhold the information from Bel so he keeps sleeping, and betray his trust, or would he wake Bel up right away to tell him, even though he knows it'll really freak him out?

    Also with Erskin, I like the idea of someone with maybe some real minor detailwork sort of TK clapping their hands on his fins and zapping him there, maybe running current from one side of the head to the other: it'd drop him hard with a relatively small expenditure of power, cause a ton of pain, and leave him blind in several ways. It'd be smart.

    The other idea is someone going and savaging his leg, but I think they'd need a lot more strength to incapacitate him that way. Though if it were mangled or fried directly he might get a synesthesia dump as the wires were injured, which would leave him pretty confused.

    i think bel would accept galley not waking him because it wasn't owl demons and dust moths, it was a crewmember flipout, and there's nothing bel can do but fret since they have neither the crewmen nor the machines to bring him up for dialysis early.

    i think the head zap is probably the best way.

    okay, head zaps delivered. bel will find erskin stretched on a cot by his regular dialysis spot, drugged to the gills (heh) on troll morphine. his fins are probably a gross blistery mess right now, and the bids of his temple and cheeks the hands also grabbed. carmin would have been tied down hard, if not outright executed to get her off him, and would be raving through the sedatives that it's all erskin's fault this happened to everyone anyway and they need to kill the highbloods before it gets worse. Poor girl.

    omg hermes almost never purrs audibly, you have to put your ear against his side to hear it, but this time he was purring so i could hear even with my headphones on, and paw-grabbing my hands and noofing me, he was just SO HAPPY. but eventually he ran off to chase one of the other cats and i was able to type a thing.

    i am thinking to get bel good and twitchy before sending him to medbay. :D

    bel is high on adrenaline, and he is basically captain america right now, except crazy. they may have to outsmart him, which is not easy because he's a devious bastard when he's in war mode. but he's running on empty and will probably lose momentum if they leave him be for five or ten minutes, and then they can tranq him. it'll take enough to drop a bull elephant, though.

    hmmmm what do you think of bel kind of using up his last 'not fucking everyone up' self control to get erskin to lainey. then he goes to fuck everyone up? a running battle across the ship while hauling erskin over his shoulder could be kinda badass. but then again he might have hit the point where no one and nowhere is safe but where he can personally secure it.

    i love it! he knows lainey's outside the quarantine, and galley's not opening his door, so he trusts them. he'll trust them and erskin until he basically loses the ability to rationalize his aggression at all and just goes animalistic, and possibly even a little past that. basically, bel imprints like a duckling.

    also you need to know that hermes kitty, who is being a Round Thing on my bed, just lifted his head and half opened his eyes to look at me and give this trilling, purring meow, and then tucked his nose back under his tail and went back to sleep. and i am dying of cute.

    i am at kino's parents' which is where she's stashed her cat and the cat is THE FRIENDLIEST chunkloaf. made friends immediately, tolerates all sorts of hugs and cuddles, will let you pat her with a foot. purrs like a demon! i love her. i love cats. i like rizzo just fine, he's an adorable, clever little dude, but MAN i'm a cat person down to my bones.
