Presumably they can still decide to use Patreon and not bother with youtube’s monetization. I seem to remember that some asmrtists have gone that route because they would like to be able to make money, but they don’t like their relaxing videos having noisy ads stuck on the front. As long as the membership thing isn’t about like, bullying and exploiting people, I’m heavily inclined to favor more options so content creators can decide what works best for them.

I was on it briefly. I left because everyone was children, most of the content was not great quality, and I didn’t understand how it works. The format seemed to be more like reddit than any other social media platform.

Has anyone here read The Scum Villain’s Self-Saving System? I keep seeing mentions of it here and there and it looks interesting.

I feel like rearranging my room again. Maybe I’ll buy another 4 ft long table and a storage thingy with wheels. Why is it I only have the energy for this stuff at night when I should be sleeping? :/

Also, I am now the proud owner of a new sewing machine! I didn’t realize they’re...so big.

Just had a thought while reading How To Invent Everything. Using alternate-timeline-creating time travel rather than stable loop-style, is there any reason why it wouldn't be possible to travel back in time to create a new timeline, mine all the resources out of a particular area, then go back a little further to before you did that and mine everything again? I guess that would just be creating a whole bunch of new timelines, so it's not really a universe-breaking hack or anything, but still. You could theoretically build a whole town just by picking up the same rock over and over again.

In a world where the planet got most of its resources through alt timeline resource-stripping, would there be a consequence to adding so much new matter and energy to the universe like this? Or would it be a drop in the bucket?

There's probably an answer to this in quantum physics but I Do Not Know It. I'd generally assume anythign that fucks with the amount of matter contained in the universe for longer than split second quantum field fluctuations should prooooobably be avoided?
