I just had such a bad jumpscare I was puttering around the lab, with most the lights off, turn around and someone's just suddenly standing in the doorway. I literally jumped and squeaked, giving the poor nurse a scare of her own
so Im pretty sure that my parents' cat is deaf. Which isn't surprising, Jane's at least 19 but it's interesting. she doesn't react at all anymore to having her name called, not even when mum does it.
gotta hit up the bank in a bit because i gotta finagle some things out (like my payback for the student loan, i have the money but it's stashed on an extra account and I gotta check how quickly I can get it moved from there....) and hnnnn. anxiety. I want an adultier adult.
bank appointment took a lot longer than expected because bank person and me got talking and...kept talking... and then it was suddenly two hours later... oops? At least we had fun?
Heading south aka home again and SLIGHTLY worried because snow? So far so good but they had like 2m in the alps and while i'm not that south i dread having dig my car out with the salad bowl
South of Nürnberg now. No snow yet. Tentatively hopeful? Sky looks real heavy tho. Gonna have to see if i wanna go for groceries today or not, this is looking super suss.
Further south, approaching München now. Snow on the ground now but in small patches, where if was shady. Concern grows tho
I would sincerely like to know how come that 'snow, in the alps, in january' is somehow such an unexpected challenge for the deutsche Bahn. This happens every year, and yet.
okay i was prepared to allow that *maybe* snow up north is a bit more unusual in signifcant quantities in early january but in the alps there is no excuse what. DB turn on your location i just want to talk
