I like bakudeku as a dark ship, and with the history that yeah, Bakugou treated deku like shit in highschool. But the fans never provide what I like and are making me hate it So many bakudeku fans argue bakugou and deku's relationship in highschool canon wasn't abusive because, uhhh he doesn't treat kirishima like shit? Abusers aren't nuanced complicated people who treat people differently based on power structures and individual relationships? It's so dumb. I'm being sent to an early grave
When Order of the Stick fans write every crackship but your own. Look, the comic outright SAID the gladiator arc tropes involved a stronger prisoner defending a weaker one leading to "strong homosexual overtones that will not be fully explored" and yet I can't find any Enor/Gannji anywhere.

It's pretty accurate to how I ship, honestly. At least with the ships I really, really, REALLY care about. For me to have like Extreme Engagement I need to have one half that I id with in some capacity and one that I find sexy or have a crush on. There's other kinds of ships I like but the ones I really love all tend to be ones that I can project myself upon. Especially if I can project my own romantic experiences on the ship as a whole. Now that shit is magical. Just recreating my relationships in fictional fucks making out.

Personally I don't find any characters like, 'sexually attractive' persay or even really crush on characters so all shipping has a disconnect with that aspect. I do think that thread is probably true for a lot of people, but there's just (as evidenced here) soooo many different reasons or whys. I get it's a joke tho, and I'd probably reblog a similar joke if it fell into my own personal brand of shipping.

God damn that beats out me with Sakuremi. Since I only have a crush on one of them, though I identify with bits of both characters. Remilia more than Sakuya, admittedly, but there is relation to bits of Sakuya.
There’s a slight imbalance for me—my OTP is Pearlmethyst, and I relate somewhat more to Ame and am somewhat more attracted to Pearl—but like. They’re both relatable and they’re both hot.
