yeah justice being twisted is definitely anders's fault, that's why justice hollers about VENGEANCE every five seconds while in amaranthine and being in constant slapfights with anders from another body. What I'm saying is that people who believe anders when he says he twisted Justice into Vengeance kind of miss a lot of key character establishment, which is in part bioware's fault honestly, bc Awakening is not as solidly in the timeline as it could be and big parts of the story were retconned to get anders and justice into DA2, and to pretend broodmothers never happened, but good fucking god. Anders starts out as considerably less violent and radical than Justice.

She gets told to join you by flemmeth, she slowly grows fond of the party, she does the dark ritual, she says 'also after this I need to leave for reasons, don't follow me' and like that hurts for a romanced warden or one who was her best friend, sure, but like. She's.... she's an adult woman with her own shit going on and I never heard anyone call Shale a Horrible Traitor for leaving the warden's side to travel to tevinter lmao. Frankly Morrigan is infinitely more honest with the warden than Act 3 Anders is with Hawke or Solas is with the Inquisitor basically ever. She literally answers most of your questions except specifics about her and kieran's hiding place and what exactly she's planning which i mean. The first is bc she's legitemately fearing for the boy's safety and the second is because she doesn't want people interfering with the plan, even inadvertantly, given she even says this to a romanced warden who convinces her to let him join her.
