    Naruto x Legends of Tomorrow

Leonard Snart has an at least passing familiarity with many forms of media. Anime is not one of them.

In which Leonard dies at the oculus and is reborn in narutoverse.

WHEN in narutoverse I'm uncertain about - and as an oc or as a canon character?

Portal/Murderbot Diaries reincarnation fic. Chell is a SecUnit, GLaDOS is a scientist, they both remember at least pieces of their former lives before they meet each other but the more time they spend together the more they remember. GLaDOS ends up helping Chell get rid of her governor module at some point in the adventure.

GLaDOS is the leader of a research team which has contracted Chell as part of... let's say an expedition package, they're going to investigate a remote location for ancient alien tech (which is definitely illegal). The research team also contains Wheatley and Rattmann, but Wheatley is pretty much just there to run around on GLaDOS's orders. And maybe also to report back to ApertureSci about her activities.

SecUnits can talk and are required to talk if a client wants them to, but Chell only uses the built-in default responses. GLaDOS could make her talk, but oddly she never does, it doesn't seem to occur to her. Wheatley does, though - not quite on purpose, he just says something to the effect of "hey Unit, can't you say anything else? Talk properly for a change, I know you constructs can do that!" and then she has to. GLaDOS eventually notices and tells her to ignore such a stupid order.

No idea what the plot would be beyond that but it definitely contains 1) forced to work together to survive, 2) that good good power imbalance, and 3) more spades than you can shake a stick at. so basically it's just like portal 2

Take solace in getting me to go buy the first Murderbot book, then, as I hadn't heard of the series before and your crossover idea was sufficiently compelling to get me wanting to take a look?

Oh yeah, Wheatley also remembers his past life, but he doesn’t realize it - despite the fact that he spends time with GLaDOS every day, he just thinks they’re weird dreams. He somehow manages to make the dreams seem boring whenever he describes them to other people. Chell catches on and GLaDOS has known for a while (his existence is part of what made her realize what her memories were, in fact), but not clueing him in is one of the few things they agree on completely.

Chell has always taken it for granted that her past life memories were for real, because there’s no logical way that stuff could get into her head, but she’s had the memories for as long as she can remember and they’ve survived multiple memory wipes. Also constructs don’t have gender and yet here she is. And also because this might as well happen to her at this point. The thought that anyone else might have been reincarnated along with her had never crossed her mind, but she knows who GLaDOS is the moment she hears her speak.

GLaDOS on the other hand takes quite a while to catch on that her new SecUnit is Chell. She had assumed that Chell was out there somewhere too and has been keeping an eye out, but SecUnits are very good at concealing their thoughts and personalities. Little things build up and make her suspicious - the use of scripted responses, the way she moves. Eventually they end up in a derelict space station with wonky gravity, and the team needs to retrieve something from the other end of a hazardous room, and GLaDOS decides to send Chell to get it. Instead of monitoring her progress through Chell’s feed, she hacks into a still-functioning security camera in the room and watches her from that perspective (while providing occasional commentary, because she can’t resist). The sense of familiarity is overpowering for both of them. It’s not quite the same as portals, but watching Chell navigate the hazards created by the faulty gravity is enough. By the time Chell makes it back with the object, they both know that the other one knows that they know, etc.

    YET ANOTHER homestuck/arrowverse crossover.

Earth one peeps play sburb when most of them are in college (Jax and Wally are in high school; Len and Mick are in their early thirties and making a name for themselves as master thieves). Their session isn't viable and, as is usual with my sburb aus, they figure out a way to force quit and get their lives back. It works! They are dumped back in their younger bodies at the moment they entered the game, except that sburb doesnt exist here. Everyone in their lives not involved in the game is greatly confused and alarmed by the "sudden" personality change. Especially Eobard Thawn.

    Then canon starts to happen.

There is a Gundam Wing fic (there's like 50some chapters in the original, which I can't find anymore; here's the repost) which has a whole host of issues but also introduced me to an awesome concept that I think is original to the author. I've reached out to them to see if I can borrow it but they haven't given me a response. By borrow it I mean that I've written crossovers with this fic, and I want permission to publish them.

The concept: there are people with elemental powers - earth, water, air, fire, and spirit - called Talents. Each joins up with the people of the other four elements most compatible with them, forming a psychic bond with the spirit Talent and once there's all five of them, a complete five-way bond. These are called their Others. The five together are a Craft. Types of Craft: Council, War, Growing, Building, Healing. Spirits of each Craft bond with the Spirit of the Council Craft they're most compatible with. The whole "compatible" thing is pretty much instant recognition platonic soulmates. A minor-to-strong empathic bond with some psychic bleed through can form upon initial meeting, and if the Others don't get to spend the next three days around each other to acclimate they can get very sick. Complete bonding has to be dome mutually and voluntarily; it won't work if either/any feel even a little uncomfortable, mentally or physically. Linked people are romantic soulmates, and can form telepathic bonds without the involvement of a Spirit. While recognition of Others in a Craft is instant, it can take a while for Spirits to realizes that they're part of an extended group. I think it's called a Township? Which is what it's for.

    SO.

Batman: there are five Robins (shut up nu52 I'm ignoring you). Clearly this is perfect.
    Dick: Air

    Jason: Fire

    Tim: Spirit

    Steph: Water

    Damian: Earth

Dick meets his first the night his life falls apart.

The family looks normal -- at this age, one gilly seems much the same as another -- and he bounces over when his mother calls him for a picture filled with his usual pre-show enthusiasm. He doesn’t recognise the feeling that gets stronger as he approaches them until the little boy gasps, and looks right at him and the feeling intensifies a thousandfold.

“You’re spirit,” he breathes, eyes wide and wondering. “Tim, you’re spirit.” How does he know his name?

The boy -- Tim, how does he know he’s Tim? -- is beaming back. “And you’re air! Oh, Dick, I have an Other! I always sort of thought I’d never find you!”

Dick hugs him tightly, laughing. “That’s-- Timmy, you’re four!” At the time it seems incredibly silly; later, he will think about the kind of life that leads a four-year-old to think that he will be alone forever, and he will have to hunt Tim down and hug him again.

Abruptly, Tim is jerked out of his arms. He looks up, and there’s Tim’s mother, looking furious. She opens her mouth, but before anything can get out

Traditionally, a Spirit’s Others, once discovered, would move in with the Spirit in question. After Dick’s parents’ murder, Tim's parents -- that is, Janet Drake -- refused to take Dick in, and anyway Bruce Wayne actually wants him. Tim promises it will be okay. “Legally, they can't keep me from seeing you,” he reminds him, holding his hand tightly, “and anyway they'll be leaving again soon enough; they always do.” (And he's right; two weeks to keep up appearances of getting their child settled into his new bond, and they're off, flying out to Argentina.) (Tim, to Dick’s horror, does not seem to find anything abnormal about this.)

Separated by billions of miles, Dick Grayson and Tim Drake collapse as a bond that had stretched thin with distance abruptly snaps.

Steph is so startled by the feeling that bombards her the first time she meets Robin that she almost doesn’t brick him in the face. Muscle memory takes over; the brick still hits just as solidly as it ever would have. She turns to run, but he’s grabbing her wrist and… beaming at her? Why would he be-- She feels an upwelling of [ ]. Oh, shit. She stills and Calls back, cautiously watching him. He sighs and relaxes on-cue and… Yep. Well, it could be worse people. (She squashes her climbing excitement. She doesn’t know what kind of person he is, yet. She doesn’t care if he’s her Other if he’s also a jerk.)

“So, I’m number three.” She observes, feeling out the empty places inside her. “What other element do we have?”

He winces, drawing in on himself, and when he speaks it’s barely above a whisper. “Just air, now. You… you’re number four. Number three is dead.” His voice cracks on the end.

Tim's not sure why he was born a Spirit.

Damian Wayne came into Gotham angry.

    Noncanon:

Jason’s first thought out of the pit was I’ve got to get back to my Others.

Time and time again, Jason restrained himself from trying to escape when he knew that it would only lead to his death. Again. Today, he was glad that he had.

The boy is tiny. Of course, most children that age are. Except maybe Bruce. He was huge; he'd probably always been giant. Wait, not the point. The point is that Damian al Ghul is six years old and the least centered earth talent he's seen in his life. And his Other. God, Jason's fifth is ten years younger than him.

Jason seizes his chance when they're attacked.

Aaaand here's a whole sprawling Naruto one:
Nvm it was too long; next post. Nvm again! Google docs, because there's a LOT more than I thought there was. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PbGUrzcF7P1o2-lnk1msCR1RBuB-4Q_94YydFyEu7gE/edit?usp=drivesdk

The Flash! I don't have anything written up for this one, but -

    Spirit: Iris
    Air: Barry
    Water: Cisco
    Fire: Caitlin (pff irony)
    Earth: Eddie

I have zero ideas for an actual plot, but an Umbrella Academy/Mob Psycho 100 crossover would be very good I think

wait no I have one idea: what if Vanya decided to run away instead of going back to the Academy and ended up in Japan and met Mob. I don’t have quite a good enough grasp on her character to know exactly how that would work out but I hope they would be friends

later Allison and Five track her down because Allison still wants to apologize to/forgive her and Five is still worried she might cause the apocalypse

I want an Imperial Radch/Temeraire crossover

Sword of Temeraire drifts through a gate at a remote station one day with no crew, missing any ancillaries it may have had, unable to remember its past. When she gets word of what’s happened, Anaander Mianaai requires that ship to be captained, crewed, and supervised as soon as possible, for reasons she declines to explain but I guess the Presger are probably involved. Sword of Reliant is the only other military ship in the area, and its Lieutenant Laurence is the only officer available to take charge of Temeraire. And after that plot probably happens

I just really like ships and dragons both being possessive of their crews

Wait what am I saying, Laurence doesn’t need to be a lieutenant, she can still be a captain who gets forced to go be the captain of something different that looks like a dead end for her career and social life

Also maybe Temeraire would be better as one of the really old ships, like Sphene, but I haven’t gotten to the part where Sphene shows up yet in my reread so I’m not sure
