the doctor canceled my appointment due to weather. apparently the roads are truly appalling and the clinic is ditching all nonessential function. while i understand they don't do this lightly, having to wait another two weeks to ask "wtf???" about my numb leg makes me want to scream all day and launch myself into space.

Closing 5 tabs, bookmarking one of them, and quitting firefox has taken literally almost 45 minutes. I’m going to restart my laptop now so I can maybe finish watching the dub of mp100 sometime next fucking week when I finish logging back in to my account!

God I need a new computer.

Wormwitch I'm building a squishmallow army!

The gnat problem at work has gotten so bad I’ve inhaled a few. Meanwhile my boss is like ~this is fine~ because ~other places have them!~ I hate the tone she uses when she says this.

My father woke me up around around by stomping around the apartment and opening and closing drawers loudly. Then he came into my room because he wanted to know how much I made this year??? :why:

The gum pocket around my wisdom tooth is infected again. I now have a date for the extraction, but it's not for over a month, and it's going to frustrate me anyway because they're only taking one tooth and I'm gonna be left feeling lopsided.

Have issues about accepying food while visiting people, kinda worried it'll get annoying for my friends, should work on it
(Eta: as in, have repeatedly needed reassurance that No Really if food is being offered U Can Accept The Food, Is Real Offer, Not Rude 2 Eat)

Charlie I got no strings to hold me down

    @Everett
Understandable. Just think though, if people offer food they usually really want you to eat it. A lot of people have the idea they won't be a good guest if you don't eat, so in a weird way you're doing them... a favour??
(I've been on both sides of it. It's hard but people generally take food eating as like... acceptance of you being ok, and accommodated, they want to share)

I'm snuffly and my throat is sore (although throat's...less sore now), and no matter how much I blow my nose or try to clear it, it won't get less snuffly.

There's actually a whole lot of articles and research (link leads to post on Bibliosphere's tumblr, where a bunch of articles are linked and this is discussed) on the subject! Food is what binds us together, as a community; eating together increases social bonds, eating food someone has provided for you increases trust and connection.

i know, its more that Emotionally im like, if they start making a meal while im just hanging out, its For Them, Dont Be A Mooch, and then theyre like "do you want some" and i have to like remind myself that It A Real Question and if they dont want me to have some they wont offer

Forgot to switch my phone over to the new wifi when we changed the routers, and I only realized this when my phone beeped to alert me that hey, I've now used 6 gb of data.
Good news: have not exceeded my data cap or hit the point where I'd told the phone to turn off mobile data. And it turns out that the warnings I set up work!
Bad news: annoyed with myself cos now I need to be careful about that until the data refills. (Which is only in 11 days, really.) And I didn't really need this on top of period cramps and the standard GI distress I get during my period.

my headphones are really really easily unplugged from my new-ish laptop (not new, just haven't really spent a lot of time with it)

plus it doesn't immediately switch from the speakers to the headphones once you DO plug them back in, so you can't like save yourself from blasting whatever you're listening to for a second

My head hurts and I feel queasy, but I can't go lay down or anything till I've at least got the laundry in the washer into the dryer so that I won't have to rewash it later. But also it's midnight, so I might as well go to bed.
