I know that the solution to our gaming group problems is "talk to each other," but when there's literally eight persons involved, it feels like the talking never ends and we never reach consensus. I'm so incredibly fucking tired of this.

 

...yeah, I'm gonna quarantine further whining into my new vent thread, because this is taking on the internal tone of Those Kind Of Thoughts, and I don't want to do processing shit here. This thread is supposed to be a slice of life anime, not a drama.

me: *stares longingly at listings for yarn for another sweater project*

 

I'm wearing an alpaca hat & shawl, wool fingerless gloves, legs under two blankets & knitting on a wool sweater, but somehow my nose is still cold :( it's either time for warm beverages or time to switch to more heat-producing activities... And I was so proud of myself for getting knitting done!

 

Upside to poor life choices - chill fiber hangout time with sis, apparently! I'm putting a new ball of yarn on this sweater, and they're attempting to ball the partly - felted skein of my mistakes. If it can be a ball, it'll be knit up for a felting project; if it can't we'll cut it free from the swift and turn it into a dryer ball. Win-win!

 

Surprisingly soothing sounds - the tiny little ripriprip of lightly felted yarn ripping free.

 

To Do:

tomorrow-

• get money order for rent
• take rent & lease renewal forms to office
• make budget
• make grocery list
• remind sis about yarn order
• make sure some dishes happen
• ??? dinner? probs my responsibility if evening plans are going to happen in a timely manner
• dye: glas and Cailleach

• drop kai off for study hours
• go help w/fridge
• (confirm sis will pick kai up)
• a food for game?
• game. and whatever happens there.

It's time to distract me from an incredibly stressful weekend with memes! I know what 3 characters I'd pick for myself bc that was a FB meme ages ago, but I am endlessly curious what other people think. Wild guesses welcome!

 

I did all of the paperwork and organizational tasks for today, and sis is leaving now for the grocery store. I also finished reading The Traitor Baru Cormorant and FUCK. This is yet more proof that my cautious new policy of checking out books based on the likes of ppl I trust w/o investigating said books at all beforehand is a good policy, but hot damn. Also, my library doesn't have the sequel in ebook so I'm going to either have to get myself to a physical library location or figure out how to put in book requests online.

I was really dreading waking up super early this morning (esp when the downstairs Norteno was playing at three in the fucking morning) but it's been surprisingly nice. Let's hope that trend carries on through the day!

Apparently the website was printed on the mug and everything, so that was way easier than I thought it would be! That specific mug is here, but they have five pages of mugs with animals saying things on them (mostly snarky, some sweet).

I have so many things I could be doing (working ahead in my Irish course, knitting on commissions or pattern design or samples, cleaning the living room, spinning, doing more planning work for that game I'm going to run) buuuuuuut it sure feels easier to just fuck around on the computer :/

 

Okay, goal-setting: I'm gonna get my main in place/set up for the next quest, and then I'm going to go out and put away at least five things in the living room.

Last-minute changes to Kai's plans mean her boyfriend will be over this evening, and we are ridiculously behind on dishes. I can't catch up on the dishes, especially not by myself, but I can at least get my craft stuff off the couch.
