I don't think so, because we've had that happen before and not had things get out of order. In this case, we had multiple posts from one person, to one thread, and before being approved they got shuffled in order somehow. Maybe. Anyway, I think I'll push buttons.
So was the inability to delete messages also intended, or did you just check as many boxes as the software allowed you to?
... Apparently, other people are running into the exact same issue, at least on XX/XY. Is that normal?
So, did some science, set up a dummy account ("seebs2") and gave it partial access to ITA. From the main forum, I can see Is This Abuse, but for contents it says "(Private)". If I click on it, though, I can see my test thread I made for debugging purposes, so that looks like I expect it to.
I'm trying to upload a cat photo to general cat-ter, but it's giving me a 'security error' and telling me to try again I've scanned the photo with my antivirus and it's perfectly safe, so...idk what's causing this?
So, there's an ongoing problem with the way the Pear Wiggler interacts with post moderation, which I think has led to a lot of misunderstandings. Basically: when you move a message, there's a thing that pops up asking you for the reason, right? And it shows an alert to the person, with that reason included? Except this doesn't work while the message is still in the mod queue. The alert never gets sent. I haven't received anything you've written while wiggling a post unless it was approved and then wiggled. That would probably explain a lot of stuff.
Yes, this is a known issue that we've discussed before. That is why there are frequently explanation posts. But not always - I don't know that everyone consistently even intends to send explanations for all things.
I tried resaving the picture and also reducing the size since it was pretty big (like 8 MB), and it went through this time...maybe the security error was caused by the really big file size or something? that's my best guess, anyway
