Undertale - Pet dogs and date a skeleton!

So I just finished my second run. First was Neutral, this one was Pacifist (though I don't think I got the True Ending so I need to see to that). Cried like a tiny child during the last fight. But because I am morbidly curious, I fully intend upon doing a No Mercy run. Once I get some sleep. Because now it's 7.25 am and I spent all night stubbornly NOT killing monsters.

Also, I spent much longer than was strictly necessary in the Temmie Village because the music makes me so happy and I want it as my ringtone.

Life advice: Visit Napstablook, listen to the middle CD, and leave until you get in an encounter. The music keeps playing into the fight, and it is worth it. ;)

 

Hey, so I was talking to a friend and we came to the realization that neither of us actually remembers if it's ever said in-game how old the skelebros are in relation to each other?
Because I saw Papyrus as being older, even by a little bit, but she sees Sans as being the elder of the two :U So, is there anything that confirms it either way? The wiki doesn't have anything on it...

And if not, I'm interested in what you guys think! Who do y'all think is older?

 

@Imoyram if I can find a white sheet by Halloween that is long enough to cover me I am totes going as Napstablook for Halloween because what is time? please inform Bro and Sis of this fact.

ALSO a cool thing! i know the Stephanie MacIntire who plays guitar on the "Undertale" track! which is awesome! I was watching my bro play it and her name flashed by in the credits and I was like WUT and then I checked it out and it's legit! small fuckin' world

 

Papyrus is taller and sillier in idealistic, naive ways... Sans is shorter, yet more world-wise and weary. I just can't decide. Can they be twins? :pp

Hmm. Part of the difficulty is, they both look out for each other. Sans obviously so, in encouraging you to play along and give Papyrus a good time. Papyrus frets about Sans being too lazy and slobbish and not doing what he's Supposed To.

It could be a dynamic between an idealistic older sibling whose eyesockets are on his dreams, and a slightly younger who watched learned from their sib's mistakes...

Or it could be an older sibling who got into painful shit they can't talk about, and a younger sib idolized when they were young, and still regards fondly enough to get surprised and frustrated when the older son doesn't meet (decreasing) expectations.

It could go either way for me.

 

i dunno why i always see sans as the older sibling but. probably my own biases!

 

@Kaylotta Sure thing! Though I think at least sis is sleeping by now.. But definitely by tomorrow!
I also may or may not have considered doing a last minute main character cosplay but like I'm not even in this fandom damn you second hand fandomness I just want to fit in. Im going to cccc with 2-3 undertale characters :|

 

Yeah i don't think it's ever mentioned which of the skelebros is the older one, but afaik it's a common headcanon that Sans is the older sib. Idk. I think partly because it's hella hilarious to imagine the growthspurt happening when suddenly between two birthdays Pap is just two heads taller than Sans and Sans is just 'i probably deserve this'.

 

As a much shorter older sibling, I can feel it.

 

As a taller younger sibling I agree with this headcanon.

Also.. can we just take a second to imagine the skelebros in fancy suits? (this popped into my head the other day and has been refusing to leave)

Yeah maybe my headcanon is coming from my own bitter acceptance over my lil tiny baby bro being taller than me now. how dare he. he is six years younger than me he's supposed to stay tiny with me forever.
