Random specific fic name gripe: I don't know how you'd say "Discordant Harmony" in Latin, but it's definitely not gonna be "Discors Consentus". Also, Discord from MLP makes for a really shitty played-completely-straight Beast from Revelation.
Came across a fic in Spanish. My vocabulary isn't great but I could muddle through the summary so I gave it a shot. Result: I now know the Spanish word for "greenette."
Not really a gripe but I'm not quite sure what the point of male alpha/female omega A/B/O is. Is it purely the knotting/heat? That could be done with regular werewolves, unlike most A/B/O. Soulbonding/fated mates is kind of a separate thing that isn't always used in A/B/O.
Set expectations of the genre, which come with a guarantee of what's to follow. Most werewolf fiction I've read that's mainstream (or even non-a/b/o) explicitly doesn't include things like knotting, so if that's what someone's in the mood for (or marketing towards the audience of) the a/b/o tag is necessary.
what PR said, and sometimes people just like certain tropes and particularly playing with things that might not often be explored in a particular trope. the worldbuilding trappings of omegaverse are going to be different from werewolf fic are going to be different from soulbonding fic. frankly, given that most omegaverse stuff implies that “alpha man, omega woman” is the societal ideal, i’d be interested in seeing someone poke at that and what that means for those people. especially since in-universe it’s the ideal, but in fiction it’s almost never seen, and you don’t get quite the same thing from werewolf or soulbonding aus. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
