i just had to have the "I have TWO HANDS" discussion with my cat.

She was on my lap, in my arms, purring up a storm as one does. I had to uncross my legs bc they went numb, and the fat cat Scout turned up by the bedside. So still holding Kricket, I leaned to pet Scout. ...Overcome with jealous rage, Kricket launched off my lap and smacked the absolute shit out of fat cat till she left. It should be mentioned: Kricket is declawed up front and is half the size of Scout, and she is utterly capable of beating her into submission and chasing her around out of my room.

Kricket, please. I was given two hands for a fucking reason. LET ME USE MY GOD GIVEN RIGHT TO PET TWO KITTIES AT ONCE, LET ME LIVE.
