I'm not gonna spoiler anything but I'm gonna say that if you have some sort of body horror issue, I would maybe avoid this episode just based on the first three minutes
I get that...I was just...kind of explaining why I was shocked-ish? Nothing in Adventure Time has shocked me since I realised that the Ice King is allowed to walk around free despite having kidnapping women for nefarious sexual purposes as his #1 hobby. I mean really I shouldn't be, look how they treated love potions in Harry Potter. I really think a lot of people don't get that mind control is bad...mmmkay? We just like to tell ourselves that they do, because it's scary knowing how many folks don't.

I keep bombarding myself on tumblr with spoiler images thinking maybe someone is gonna upload the episode but it's all so surreal that it doesn't really spoil anything
I've seen several posts on tumblr stating that it's been uploaded somewhere. I'm waiting for 8 pm because I want to watch it on the big screen but I think if you check the tag that is the scrambled name of the ep, you can find it.
I've seen a link spammed on the tag, but I am very wary about clicking it because 1.) it's being spammed 2.) I use my laptop for college shit too so I can't afford for it to be infected by a billion trojans or something by clicking a fishy link I can always watch it when it is uploaded on amazon, and will do that even if I find a video of it tonight anyways because it's only a couple bucks and I like to support the show even if I can't watch it on TV, I am just being super impatient right now
(No spoilers for the episode, which I haven't even seen yet. The goofy tone of this song is probably completely inappropriate for this thread at the moment given the horror and woe that surely await us. Oh well!)
maybe they can pass it off as "it's close to halloween, time to scare the shit outta some children!" I am kind of glad I am not growing up with this cartoon and that I'm watching it as an adult. I was one of those precious overly sensitive babies moral guardians try to protect (ok so I am still a precious overly sensitive baby... just an adult one who is better at processing things and understanding the world) and I havn't seen the episode yet but I can guarantee based on what little I've seen with body horror/reality warping/traumatized characters it would have given me nightmares for weeks and intrusive thoughts for ... a lot longer than that.
I think that in some cases kids handle that kind of stuff better than adults, because everything is warped and weird to them and they don't really get on a visceral level what a lot of it means. Teenagers in particular frequently seem to eat up scary stuff that freaks me completely out.
The bright shiny pretty princess and monster high commercials in the middle of this are a special kind of traumatising in and of themselves.
