Well, the material that the injectors, uh, inject into the ground is extracted from Diamonds, right? So probably you get material extracted from Blue for blue gems, and material from Pink for pink Rose Quartzes, and so on. And to get green gems, you mix together extracted material from Yellow and Blue. Since White contains all colors, I bet her extracted material can be used to make any sort or color of Gem. I think gem placement is probably arbitrary, or something that occurs as a Gem grows, except in the case of Pearls who are particularly made-to-order. The Amethysts are all Amethysts, and their Gems are all over the place. Same with the Rubies, and the court Sapphires we see all have different placements too. That said, I think Diamond ownership also depends on who is responsible for the colony that spawned a vein of Gems. Like, if Yellow asked Blue for some Blue essence to make some sapphires, those would be Yellow's sapphires. Re: Pearls - Peridot calls them made-to-order. All Gems are made on someone's order, so I think that must mean Pearls are particularly customized for a specific person.
I found a blog with posts that... seem to probably have been generated by a neural network trained on all of Yellow Diamond's dialogue. It's completely incomprehensible, but oddly charming? It sounds enough like yellow diamond that I'm reading all the posts in her voice, which is an experience.

Genuine question, it seems like the majority of the community has seen it by now and I don't know if there's a courtesy rule for this) Spoiler: CYM How hilarious is it that the Diamonds are these menacing, titanic beings -- who turned out to be HONESTLY REALLY BAD AT FIGHTING??? Yellow and Blue just slap at each like schoolkids, it's hilarious. *Peridot* is scrappier than the two of them!
I'm not sure if spoiler tags are still necessary myself, since it seems like it's been seen by everyone in the thread, but we'll def need a more input so we can all come to an agreement there!
I think somewhere between 2 and 4 weeks is plenty, generally. At that point you've probably been spoiled elsewhere, and even if you haven't it's long enough that I'd think twice about going to visit the thread for anything I wanted to avoid seeing spoilers for.

I dunno about a single download, but all of season 5 can be found fairly easily on Dailymotion, and there are converters available online. Definitely more effort, but I hope that helps!
