They all had fun, and wanted to plan an adventure-of-the week ongoing series with these characters, so that's awesome!

 

I have good music, I have a tasty Starbucks breakfast, I have cute kids at the table next to me, and in my wallet I have a check for the full amount of this custom order, holy shit. Hoping the rest of today stays this good!

(aka I'm having a day where I have symptoms of a problem that could turn acute, but they're not quite there and I'm stuck in the spiral of "but am I just faking" - I'm gonna make my ass seek care if I hit the full acute symptoms, but aaaaaaaaaaaaa)

 

No ER trip for me today after all, yay

In other news, I think I need to read more. I sometimes almost forget how good the "just finished a good book" feeling is.

 

Tomorrow I need to-

• Study intarsia
• Update client on progress
• Make meal plan if not also shopping
• Upload unboxing?
• Serious crafting time (dye, knit, spin)

 

So it's a rough sleep night and a bad pain day, but I still got the study+communication done, and I've got one skein of yarn presoaking, and I'm mostly just gonna focus on good book +eating well for the rest of the day. I feel most guilty about delaying the video upload again, but I am not the most confident about all the typing needed to do the captions.

 

I got better sleep! And, thankfully, my arms are doing a little better, although I still feel more tender/fragile than normal. So I'm doing a bit of knitting, and gonna do meal planning and video uploads today, and gonna cook a low-hand-spoons dinner.

 

Also sis did charts for the new client's order, and I got the first stocking cast on, and I'm feeling optimistic & less overwhelmed by this order than I was before, so that's also good. It's gonna be a lot of knitting, but it breaks down into workable chunks, and the new techniques I need to learn really do look relatively easy when I review them. And with every stitch I can remind myself that this is gonna get me that blending board, heck ye!

 

Working on captioning now. I was very tired and very spergy when I made this video - I hope people find it cute instead of weird/offputting.

 

The fact that I can't set timings on my captions until the video is done processing is... intensely irritating, tbh. I might just be being dumb & not knowing how to use youtube, but it means the video is up but uncaptioned for a while until I finish setting timings. Until I figured out that I could transcribe in a google doc while it uploaded & then copypaste and set timings rather than transcribe directly onto youtube, it took even longer, but still! ugh! why is it so hard to make a video be accessible immediately upon upload????

okay, so, apparently since I was fucking around with putting in subtitles before it was totally dones processing made it so the video didn't immediately default to public, and I had to go manually set it to public once I was done with timings... so it's not just hanging out there uncaptioned. fuck yes. good to solve that, even if by accident. I know I'm not the clearest speaker at all times, and I personally live and die by video captions due to my audio processing, so it's really really important to me to do this right.

 

We have a nice breeze coming in all the windows, and my sis made tasty coffee despite a complete lack of liquid dairy in the house, and it's a nice morning.

...groceries are gonna take so many spoons though :( try to think of the bright side: at least we'll have food then?
