HEY UH...I GOTTA HAVE THIS AT SOME POINT. Maybe slightly different designs but like. :o Spoiler: Picture
HI NAILPOLISH THREAD <3 Today I have glittery solstice Carrie Fisher nails (also I apologize for the awful cuticles BLEGH) https://www.instagram.com/p/BrqWVV4g06J/
Opi’s new spring colors are fantastic. This is Arigato from Tokyo with black cherry blossoms stamped over it.
test run on a manicure i'm wearing to a wedding! i finally picked up some proper stamping polish and it really makes a difference with the nail stamps. Revlon's All Fired Up and OPI's Be There In A Prosecco with Nicole Diary stamping polish.
Oh wow, that turned out really well! Are you thinking about growing your nails out for the wedding or leaving them a little shorter to cut down on chipping and cracking?
i cannot exist with my nails longer than my fingertips. it drives me absolutely bonkers. so no, not growing them out. :P (i'm lucky in that i have fairly deep nail beds, so i have a lot of real estate to paint them even keeping them short!)
more fun with nail stamps (and sponge gradients, because i'm a sucker for sponge gradients)-- mermaid nails edition! i think these are some of the better mermaid nails i've done tbh. gotta remember this combo! although i'm getting sadly low on that aqua blue.
Pride Is Coming, Be Extra Spoiler: lorg (pre-cleanup messy bc I was waiting for them to dry when I took that)
Question, does anyone have recs one way or the other regarding nail art stamping plates? I find nail art way more interesting than plain nail varnish and I might bother actually doing my nails if I could do nail art quickly, but I'd like to know if it's worth investing in them.
If you want "quick," stamping might not be the way to go-- cleanup takes forever ime. The actual designs go on faster than painting them by hand, but...
Stamping is the quickest way to get detailed, consistent patterns on your nails. Loq is right, it does take a while, but compared to the amount of time it takes to freehand those kinds of patterns it's a breeze. I get my stamping stuff from Wish, mostly. Delivery is slow and quality is sometimes questionable, but I've gotten some really good stuff from them for pretty cheap. Word of warning, it takes some practice, and your first few tries are probably going to turn out wobbly, crooked, or not show up at all.
