Thanks! I need all the luck and or help I can get. Technical difficulties seem to be the norm even when the lper has been streaming for years.

 

Ok I think I figured out why I couldn’t hear myself on the stream maybe? I’ve been watching videos of other lpers and I think my laptop isn’t registering my headphones exist. I think when I talk it’s going through the speakers? There’s not even an option for my headphones in the menu.

I might have to spend money on a microphone, ahhhh this is a pain in the ass!

 

The stag beetle one reminded me of the clockwork bug thing which attacks Lyra in Northern Lights.

I just watched like 2 hours of some guy complaining about Cinemasins being bad at everything and nitpicking their egregious mistakes, and I could watch so many more hours of it.

Shaun's a good. at work most ppl listen to music/podcast/youtube so when i ran out of podcast i was like 'fine i'll finally do contrapoints i've been reccd many times and have seen like 3 coworkers watching her' and now i've watched a good chunk of main lefttube. at work. wheeeeeeee

 

Hey thanks for this. I had a brief look and the dialogue seemed interesting, so I kept it around with the intention of looking more later. I’m glad I did because it’s really good.

It’s an easy read, but not because it doesn’t go deep. It just seems to have a clear idea of what it’s trying to say, so it can be concise and effective about how it says it. When it fairly quickly started going in a philosophical direction, I was hooked. And I really like the characters. They’re very sympathetic.

 

I know it's tacky to give POC characters eye and hair colours they most likely wouldn't have as a way of making them "special", with the implication that all people of that race look alike otherwise and/or that the writer's only experience with people of that race is anime. Is it more acceptable to do so if Caucasian characters also prominently have unnatural hair/eye colours? If a POC with natural blonde hair is hanging out with a white person with natural green hair, I figure it would be a bit less "your race looks boring" and more "this is a fictional world where genetics are weird in general", but I might be wrong.

 

there are people smoking on the front steps of my apartment building right below my window, despite the fact that the property management company has sent around a couple “knock it off” emails. what music would you recommend playing at top volume next to the window to make them go away? so far i’ve tried wndrwll and Love Psych but no dice

I genuinely love this song. The music video is brilliant and very disturbing. Probably not an enjoyable experience for unwitting bystanders though. Lots of drug mentions, and not in a fun way
