The term "enculeur de mouches"; an extremely vulgar term for a nitpicker, which translates literally as "fly-buggerer".

omg i love it. not only did the victorians get their nipples pierced, they got piercings i've never even heard of.
i gotta assume that there are people who get that today, but i've never seen it! (and i probably have more exposure to the piercing community than the average person, from having a few friends who are into it and a sister who's a tattoo artist.) piercing the areola so the ring hangs around the nipple sounds cool as hell and i kinda want that now

TIL how to clean my computer! My dad showed me: you take off the side of the case so that the insides of the computer tower are exposed. Then you use a vacuum cleaner to remove the dust, and q-tips or wooden skewers to remove dust bunnies and dust from areas the vacuum can't reach. Compressed air and a dry cloth or paper towel also help with getting the dust off (although the dry cloth/paper towel should not be rubbed over the circuit board). Once you're done, put the case back on.

Important steps: make sure the computer is not turned on or plugged in (it can be attached to monitors and such, but there should be no way for electricity to go through it), and make sure it's been off for a while.

TIL that Lego Rock Raiders, a game from 1999 that gives me intense nostalgic flashbacks with every voice clip, still has active fan forums despite being notoriously difficult to install on modern computers because the game is 32-bit but the installer is 16-bit.
