i did not succeed at 24-hour comic day but i tried and maybe i will do better next year!

 

still have a nasty cold but at least now i'm not horribly sleep-deprived

 

Taking care of yourself is more important than art, you made the right choice. And hey, maybe once you feel better you can have your own 24 hour comic day!

 

I’ll prolly just try again next year! I made a BIG mistake in not napping before starting tbh, so next time I’ma get some shuteye in first. (I also probably should’ve gone in with more in terms of a conceptual plan honestly, oh well.)

I’m not too fussed about not succeeding—it was my very first time doing it and it’s not supposed to be easy anyway. But hopefully next time I’ll be more prepared and at least get more done! c:

 

the ONLY good thing about this cold is that unlike my mom when she had this same cold, i didn’t get laryngitis

i am still veeeeery gunky and congested and coughing and sneezing a bunch tho

fwiw mom got sick first (she’d been at a big event and she thinks she picked it up there)

i don’t actually blame her for getting me sick obviously, it’s not like you can really stop someone in the same house as you from getting a highly contagious bug you’re suffering from (and it wasn’t for lack of trying, we always try to minimize the chances of people around us getting sick obviously, but like...there’s really only so much you can do with colds)

to be fair it’s also entirely possible that i picked it up elsewhere, but jokingly “blaming” my mom is funnier

 

also don’t worry, it’s not like i’m seriously ill! just a very unpleasant cold. gotta bitch about my congestion and general grodiness but i’m not like...dying

 

okay i think i’m FINALLY on the mend, i’m feelin’ a LOT better this morning! c:

also afaik scheduled power outages arent super uncommon where ive lived, usually for hours but less than a day, when they shut off the power to repair or replace equipment or otherwise do work that needs the power to be off for the safety of electrical workers

but the situation there is Big Shit, thats just like.......pure negligence what the hell
