Stream of Unconsciousness (Hypnovamp Hyperfixation Powerhours)

So.

I was so proud of myself for Adulting Good. And also sweaty because alcohol. So I stepped outside to enjoy the really nice view and the cool air.

My door has this neat feature where if it's locked and you open it from the inside it unlocks. Without having to fiddle with the locks manually. Usually it stays unlocked. For some reason, when I closed the door (from outside) it relocked. I was in my jammies and had no keys because I was not expecting my door to lock itself.

This is why my neighbor ended up helping me break into my own apartment at 11 PM.

This is my life. I do so good and then top it off with a dash of stupid. Once I was back inside I had to sit down and laugh until I sprained something. This is just. How my fucking life goes. Every time! Every goddamn time! I shouldn't even be surprised anymore when everything in my life comes with a punchline.

 

To clarify because tone in text is hard: I'm not even remotely upset. This is goddamn hilarious.

 

Achieved: breakfast, coffee, shower, morning dishes. Called landlord about oven/stove. Washed crockpot so I can use it in the future. Set up temporary altar space. Need to dig out my sea glass for it but otherwise good.

Next: make lunch. Drink more coffee. Put away dry dishes, wash rice cooker so it can be used. Assemble desk.

 

Desk was a Mistake. On hold until I have someone with muscles to help.

Going to visit old program for one of the old residents' birthday (he also moved to the apartments). Gonna have to get used to aligning bus rides to my schedule.

 

It's 4 pm on a Friday and I see no need to put on pants.

I should probably eat something though.

I have a cat now! His name is Fuji and he's very lovely, but currently hiding behind the couch. The trip in the car and the walk down the stairs rattled him quite a bit, poor baby.

He came out for a little bit to investigate, but just the immediate area around one side of the couch before fleeing back to the safety of behind it. I moved his water dish over there so he doesn't have to go far to hydrate and can take his time.

New things are scary, I definitely understand.

 

He came out for snugs until I had to stretch since sitting on the floor is ouchies! Now he's hiding again, but under my bed. Progress?

What's funny is I bought a place for him to hide and sleep, but he's rather take a nap on the blanket I thrashed off. Maybe it smells more like me?

 

He eventually came out, explored my apartment thoroughly, and then snuggled lots. Now it's isolation time :(

The shelter wanted me to keep him in the bathroom with his food + litter box so he learns that's his box or something? I gave him the blankie the shelter gave me and the shirt I wore and a toy but. He's so sad and crying and it's killing me :( I really want to take him and snuggle him but. It's just tonight and he can sleep wherever after.

Fuji's a face sitter. I don't mind him sitting on my shoulder on the couch, or climbing up onto my boobs. A little less ok with him laying across my throat, pressure there can be triggery. Sticking his butt in my face and snuffocating me with his floof is right out.
