my old friend and dad and grandma and godfather all coincidentally messaged me on the same day when I was feeling alone and :)! also my flatmate found a bunch of old unpainted warhammer figurines in a bin and we might be able to paint and play around with the ones they can't sell : D
oh man it takes a minute to get used to the choppy sound, but it's damn impressive how well the motions match up
aw yeah, we got snow snow :D my favorite part about winter in the city is how bright it can be. this was taken at 6:30 AM, the sun is just barely starting to rise, but the clouds and the ground are glowing! edit: pic taken a half hour later ^^
It almost seems lighter at night, since the light is so warm-hued compared to the bluer ambient light of the cloudy day.
It does often feel brighter at night in the winter imo. If there's a thaw, the air gets really hazy and reflects all the light, including holiday decorations. It's very cozy. Then the sun rises and it's obviously a pale sad imitation of real sunshine that just looks really dim. But it doesn't stick around for too long so it's cool.
I successfully untangled the wires of my landline phone, modem, radiator, and electric blanket from each other!
My favorites are the people in high visibility gear. I dunno, people who are obviously dressed for work enjoying a moment of silly fun because there’s no reason not to just make me smile. I especially liked the three people in high visibility vests with the one in the center doing hopscotch as they passed it.
Sister wanted me to make vanilla cookies as well as chocolate for Boxing Day party this year, and the adjusted recipe is great! Now I just have to not eat it all myself.
