Wow, I will probably want to look at that tomorrow when energy hopefully happens. The very first bit which they have as "I hope it'll disappear the instant I look away" is maybe something more like "It seems to vanish as soon as I avert my eyes"? That's not completely and totally off base. But I absolutely can't wait to get to the part in the thumbnail where in a world of channels it only gets one. I mean, it's obviously not about how anyone lost their way like the transcription is saying, but Japanese sentence structure is so different that a good translation wouldn't necessarily be translating the same part of a sentence that would be displaying on screen at that time anyway. So not only is that almost certainly extremely wrong, it's mysteeeeerious!

The first Pokemon movie came up, and I said to a friend that she must have been "like 2 seconds old when it came out" which prompted a joke that she was literally born in the movie theatre

I worked at a Starbucks that had a carbonation machine, which I don't think Canadian ones do anymore. Anyway, the recipe cards included instructions for making carbonated cold brew, and trying it was one of the most regrettable liquid-based decisions I have ever made.

I cannot fathom what carbonated milk would be like.

 

At Ben & Jerry’s we had a fresh whipped cream device that worked off the same principle, but it used heavy cream, simple syrup, and small, individual co2 cartridges in a sealed container that you didn’t open again until the container was empty. Even then you had to open the empty container in the sink in case it exploded.

It made amazing whipped cream. I guess carbonated milk is halfway there. Still. I wouldn’t want to drink it.
