I put about a cm of water because my tin only fit in a pretty shallow baking pan, but usually in recipes they recommend that you put enough water to reach about the middle of the cheesecake tin.

@TheOwlet good luck!!!! I love making cheesecake but it can be a little daunting at the beginning. Once you get the hang of it it becomes super easy imho, a lot easier than cookies for example (especially macarons. I also made macarons for dessert and while they tasted ok i Fuckt Up everything else and they kind of splooshed)

    I HAVE CHEESED THE CAKE

that is to say, the cake came out wonderfully, the top didn't rip, it seems to have set right and it's now cooling down until I can put it in the fridge

going by the filling tastetest, it's VERY close to the eggnog i had years ago.

I'm also considering using some of my left over Spekulatius to give it a crumb layer on top, but on the other hand, i wanna flex on my colleagues with the perfectly smooth surface i achieved....

Flex that flawless cake. People need to bask in its glory.

Also, would you let me know what they think of it?

    I absolutely will!

I forgot to add extra sugar in the cream (oops) by tastetesting the unbaked filling was pretty good and i like it a little less sugary-facepunch so i hope it'll appeal

Like Brazilians dont really Do central water heating, right? So most of our showerheads have an electric heating component just for them. And I always shower with water as hot as I can stand it.

I CAN ONLY STAND IT WITH THE HEATING ELEMENT TURNED OFF. water is coming out of the pipes/water tank on the roof of the building warm enough to fog up the bathroom mirror.

My boss has taste-tested the cake (we were alone in the lab today) and has deemed it very good. It had still quite a bit of aromatic oomph from the rum essence which goes quite well with a less-sweet filling so I think I may keep this recipe as is!

So like, so far: rousing success, I shall report back once more people have tasted it.

I knew i was in bad shape, physically, but i literally gave up this yoga for beginners video in the second pose:

I kinda wanted to get into it because i've been feeling really stiff and weak ): and i thought yoga would help )): but i am too out of shape for even beginner stuff i simply can't balance on one knee

I know I've seen people talk about modifying yoga poses for better stability/comfort/etc. Is there some way someone could support you, or maybe you could use something to help you keep your balance? Maybe stay near a wall and keep a hand on it? (Not sure what the pose is, but I know I've seen advice like "keep your knees on the floor instead of balancing on toes and elbows" or "use a pillow for support" or similar things)

I'll see! I have a couple of plus size friendly videos to try too, but something tells me ill need all the help i can get. I was able to do a lot more physically a few years ago, but uni and uni prep and just... aging... didnt really help me much.

I cheated Lis and Ali into being global superstars because... they would be. so now they have the 'strike a pose' action and they do it randomly when going out and it's very hilarious. work that smoulder, ali

Also: a Lis looking tired, baby Duncan, and Ali using Lis's magic lab to make mac and cheese.

They had two other kids, which i haven't taken screenshots of yet.

You can definitely modify yoga poses or just not do the ones that give you too much trouble. I’ve always hated that pose myself. Feels shaky, too much aligning of knees. As soon as that guy in the video effortlessly folded in half, I laughed a little. I’ve been a ballet dancer who can’t fold in half quite that easy without at least a warmup.
