I'm not really equipped to evaluate the "it's only fanfiction if someone else owns the copyright" debate, but in the sense of "fiction that builds off of an existing work" I'd say so.

 

I'm not sure if it's fanfic or not, but I do know it was goddam delightful

Everyone loves a fic where Steve Rogers says "hey modern day, that's fucked up," right? How about an MCU fic where the X-men are actually around, and Steven learns about the bullshit that is how mutants are treated?

The fic is shorter (8k) focusing mostly on early discovery, meeting a couple of people, and wrecking some Sentinels, but I like what's there.

 

I love this. Especially when everyone is like, "let's not talk about this" and Steve goes, "no no, let's DO talk about it. In depth. With reading material."

 

Steve Rogers vs Twitter is possibly my favourite sub-genre of MCU fics.

 

Manacled, a Dramione Dark Romance Wizard War AU fanfic :))
I thought the fic was p engaging! Some interesting extra story things surround this AU version of the war between Harry and Voldemort, but the fic primarily focuses on the Dramione and I think is entirely Hermione's viewpoint.
Check out the tags, cause a lot of things happen, and the author may include things in the beginning notes if a chapter will contain warned content
