I've never had it done but I did watch it happen to another customer last time I was in Lush - I assume it's because some of their products don't have an intuitive use process or if they spend too long under water (in the case of soaps) they wash away more quickly than conventional products so it's a way to keep the sample products going longer?

I don't know, but I'm touch-starved enough that these posts are basically ads for Lush at this point

going to a nice smelling place to have a nice smelling lady wash your arm is a scenario I see no problems with tbh

Am I likely to get in any trouble for vandalism if I was seen using a Sharpie to scribble out the message on the Nazi stickers which are cropping up all over my town, since I can't always stop in the middle of the street to pick them off entirely? As long as I didn't get any ink on anything but the sticker, would I be okay? I scraped some of the stickers off today but it takes a while and if I see one in the street I'd like to do my part somehow.

You would maybe be better off consulting people in your area, I don't think it's a big deal but I don't know how your local police treats stuff like that. If in doubt, idk probably don't do it until you learn whether they will take issue with covering up racist stickers

Eta: you could even call the police's non-emergency line about the stickers and ask if its a problem to cover them up, idk if that's a dumb idea becsuse i've never done it

My father dragged me to the bank today to “see if I had gotten my $1200”, and I thought it was a tax thing at first, but then he said he was also getting $1200 and he’s on social security so he doesn’t pay taxes. Anyone know what he might be talking about?

Ok good to know, I haven’t had the energy to watch the news because I’ve been working so much. I normally ignore what my father says because it’s usually right wing nonsense, but the teller at the bank wasn’t confused by his question, so I figured it had some basis in reality.

Okay, I reported the stickers but now the cops say someone's gonna come out to talk to me in person about them and police scare the hell out of me :(

I bought a cheap robo-vacuum and it turns out it can't move around on carpet, so I may need to return it. Does anyone know of a brand of robot vacuums which do work on carpet and are somewhat more affordable than official Roombas?

Useful thing! https://storygrid.com/ This is helping me get a better grasp on story conventions so I know what boxes I have to fill with an idea. Structure will probably help a lot.

I have a ten-year old Nokia I use as an MP3 player b/c the battery life on it is absolutely nuts, and I got a call on it today.

Which would be fine and not weird, but since I only use it as an MP3, it doesn't have a SIM card o_O)

Okay but this is just making me picture some dudebro drunk-dialing some rando and shouting "PLAY FREEBIRD!" at them, and frankly that mental image is delighting me, so I think your theory is probably better.
