I have a used Sony XZ as my primary phone, and it is also the first Android I've ever owned. Today I left it in my bag with Pokémon Go on which sapped the battery so badly it wouldn't even blink the charging light when I tried to start it back up. It's now been loading for about three hours, with the charging light a steady red (even when I pull out the charger) and won't respond to any button commands. How boned am I or is there a way to fix this? All my previous phones have been Nokias, where an unresponsive system could be solved by popping the battery off and putting it back on :'|
Update: a friend on Discord worked out that I'd been trying to reset the phone the wrong way, and showed me how to force restart. Didn't know you could do that. Smart phones are a mystery to me.
