SO good. I read it twice. edit: Actually the audiobook is good just so I can learn how badly I've been mispronouncing all the names
Gently yoinking that in progress. Have to say, I love that she also has that pair of videos going into the "so here was my whole thought process about how to be voicing these characters," it's fun to learn from others' methodologies! Not listening to it right now because what are spoons, but I'll give those a listen later too.
I'm definitely interested in something that digs into SQH's feelings about the world he made. MXTX takes such a light hand with that sort of thing in canon, and the scene where he tries to warn young LQG and SQQ off their future mistakes (despite knowing it's completely futile) kind of hits like a truck because it's so understated. I love how she can be so descriptive and then marks some of the most deep and important emotional moments by turning around and not describing the inside of the character's head at all, just lays out their words and actions in plain language. and it works the same way good horror does, because the audience knows the characters well enough that their imagination will do all the filling in necessary. she's so good at horror and tragedy that I honestly kind of hope her next project - if and when it ever appears - has some kind of TMA-esque bad end. she's so good at tearing heartstrings. I kind of want her to go apeshit and let everything be horrible. ...anyway, all that to say, that is a very interesting fic premise and I will give it a try, probably after I finish listening to the TGCF audiobook which I just started
