Quick question to anyone who's seen it: I keep getting clips of Call The Midwife on YouTube and it looks phenomenal, however the clips are also always some kind of painful. Is this par for the course for this show, and how much do I need to prepare myself emotionally if I were to watch it?

Call the Midwife is awesome, imo, but it doesn't shy away from difficult topics from the timeperiod.

So yeah, it's entirely possible that you do need to prepare yourself a bit.
