As I improve in managing my daily life and all the myriad details that make up "being responsible for oneself" that I couldn't handle anymore when my dysthimia took hold of me, I've decided it is time to start properly managing my finances and keep myself organized as a whole. My dad recommended Quicken for the financial, but I'll be looking at other similar apps so that I don't have to fuss with an excel spreadsheet. At the same time, he recommended other apps I could use to keep myself organized and keep my stuff a bit more centralized, and he recommended Evernote and Bamboo Paper. I use Habitica and Flaredown already (the latter a bit less regularly, woops), so I was wondering what other types of apps you guys use and what you recommend, heck, maybe for other stuff too and for others! I am mostly Apple by now, but you can share stuff that works on the other platforms for anybody else who is curious.
Disclaimer: I am not an adult buuuuuuut i use Wunderlist for all my homework stuff many lists, lists inside other lists, folders of lists and if anyone else uses it, connectivity with people shared lists, so on and so forth due dates, reminders, repeating tasks (custom repeat times too!) yeah I love this app Wunderlist!
I tend to just have to-do lists on tumblr, because I find doing it publicly motivates me, and then I also have a Google calendar with appointment reminders and just use the first and 8th as my Taking Care of Finances days.
Mint.com and my credit union's app are set up with politely bitchy pokes to the effect of YOU HAVE GONE OVER YOUR BUDGET FOR THE WEEK. EVERYTHING OK? And other various notifications. I personally love mint.com.
The only kind of organisation/routine-making app that has worked for me is Routine Factory. You doooo have to pay for it after 2 weeks, though nwn; (except I somehow... didn't get charged for like a year. Their system must've not noticed me lmao) I also love Evernote! I use it for everything from study notes to keeping track of my weekly spending, to making shopping lists. A+, would defs recommend.
