The books or the show. James Herriot rocks my socks, as they used to say about ten years ago. (I totally want a Petstuck fusion.)
I have the entirety show on DVD I'm pretty sure, and I have at least one of the books, though I remember not being interested in it as much back then as I probably would be now. Grandpa would put it on after I got home from school, so I always ended up listening to it while goofing off on the computer.
I love the show, pity they couldn't film the parts in the books about his time in the RAF. Those were fun too :) I once told a friend that parts of the show are kind of the definition of fetish retardant; pretty young men up to their elbows in cow shit. (Well, fetish retardant for most people.)
