hey! so i am getting a new phone soon and have more or less settled on an android. the problem is there are.....so many different androids, what the fuck, slightly overwhelming

so far i have been recommended: samsung galaxy 7, samsung prevail lte, nexus 6p, various nokias......and im just like ???? ahhHHHH, especially at some of the price tags (stares at the galaxy 7)

so i figured i would ask for some advice here? any android users who have phone recs? i do have some criteria id like to fill but i will put that under a spoiler

    - would prefer on the lower price range, <$400 if possible (my mom is spotting me $100 and i have to pay the rest so...)
    - zero lag
    - good battery life (even if it means giving up some bells & whistles, the main reason im looking at the prevail lte)
    - as good a camera as possible
    - compatible with boost mobile
    - decent storage and/or capability to add a micro sd card
    - uhhHHH i dont think i have any other specs??

but yeah, compatibility with boost mobile is the most important thing bc i have a really good plan rn and dont plan on switching

SO! android users of kintsugi: help ur neighborhood rats find a good phone
    thank

ok so I know nothing about phones, but I'll tell you about mine
...i don't know if this will be helpful in any way

ihave a samsung galaxy s5, and now, like 8 or 9 months later, the battery still lasts all day

the storage is Not great, but I also sprang for a micro sd card so I can keep pictures

the pictures, by the way, are pretty good quality

and I can't remember what the price was but it was definitely less than 200

it's also surprisingly durable, which is a thing I look for in phones, because I destroy all things, like some kind of technology targeted god of chaos

I really like my Nexus! my friend has the latest one and the camera is fantastic. storage is alright, and you can back up most things to Google so you don't actually have to keep too many things on the phone itself. also google play is really nice. battery life is decent if you don't keep your screen at high brightness.

iiii don't know anything about boost mobile unfortunately :(
